I know but it's a hard thing to do on something you have not seen!
Sometimes you just have to take a chance..what did you stand to loose?
Chris W and I discussed this subject once....thats how I became the owner of vin 522. (page 639) And as it turned out, it was a great car.....which I wish I still owed. Another ex Engineering car and a RHD.
Admittedly it was in a state and it was a big risk...but......

Dermot, it’s one of the first questions I asked him!
But he didn’t have it to hand and needed to check when he got back to it the following morning...... which was too late anyway.
Chris & Chris - it was difficult buying sight unseen, but as I was so cautious not wanting to send £2,000 deposit as a PayPal gift, I was busy sifting the web for all the info I could get hold of on the chap.
By the time I was (eventually) ready to pull the trigger the “other guy” had sent his deposit.
I’m gutted, yes..... but it just wasn’t meant to be on this occasion, otherwise I’d have a DeLorean “winging” its way to me....

Sad to say that I have decided to part with my beloved DeLorean and have listed it on eBay today.
I’m sure some members know the history of the car and I’ve tried to list everything I’ve done to it on the ad. But anyone who wants to know more can email on doc@deloreanhire.com or give me a call which is listed on the ad.

I've just been to have a look at this car, Andrew has done a lot of work on it. His reserve is quite modest, in my opinion. If you are OK with a Black Auto...this is a very good car! And has the potential to be a GREAT low mileage car.
Well its Jan. 81 build and not 1979. A very early car, a Black Auto. ...several of these about at the moment. Interesting project...anybodies guess what it will make. Personally I don't like having to sent off £2k within 5 hours without further information.
I've spoken to the owner at Length . Its probably the cheapest nearly complete car around...probably sub £15k. but its not running and a bit of a lucky-dip. It will certainly be a lot of work and could be an awful lot of work. Probably best suited to a competent home mechanic.
If anyone want to talk to me about it, then no problem.
A reliable source once stated on public forums, that the owner is looking for 19k for the car?
