Thanks Ian.

Does looks nice. It's got lots of history by the looks of it too.
Get him to drive it a 100 miles or so to get the mileage up a bit !! Lol

That one looks nice Tristan and by the sounds of it, it's ready to drive.  I noticed in the original paperwork the car was sold 3 days after JZD was busted for a cash price of $16,995... instead of $25K plus.
Looks like the Dealers wanted to dump them after hearing the news...
Cheers Stu,

Good spot there! It seems the price is creeping up on this one. And rightly so.
It looks like a very nice D

Errr, really 55k: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1981-DeLorean-...SwHaBWlBL7 tad optimistic me thinks and factually incorrect.

That is certainly aiming a bit high. And as for the alleged originality..... Those exhausts? pretty sure they aren't original, or the DeLorean bonnet badge combined with a ridged bonnet.

I'm sure it's a nice good, sound car. But surely not 55k worth......

Errrm…..anyone who pays £45k for this…let alone £55k wants their 'bumps feeling'.  I think the exhausts are just push on trims, coil cover missing, numerous non-standard hoses, header tank ready to explode, eyebrows, what else?  Its one of the highest mileage one's I've seen for sale and the seller has not even taken delivery of it yet!    Have you read the comments?
"The only items that we can find that have been replaced are the tyres."

This statement alone tells you everything you need to know about the seller's knowledge of the DeLorean marque, let alone the market value of the car.

Anyone who stumps up anywhere close to £45k for this car wants their head looking at. I would put this car at around £27k tops, assuming there are no issues with the frame bearing in mind that it's got 50k miles on the clock. And of course that's assuming that the "factory original" angle drive hasn't broken once or twice along the way.

It's sad to see that the DeLorean seems to have increasingly entered the clutches of get rich quick car dealers, but that's the price you pay for increased popularity I suppose Sad
Now priced at £35k - seemingly more in the ball park now. Dependent on condition of course.

Chancers! Bit of a piss take considering the haven't got the car in front of them and haven't seen it. Also according to eBay it's in Bishopston, Bristol. Not an area I would drive a DeLorean (doubt it would fit down the streets).

So he was offered 45k by "Jean Louis", who I'm sure is a legit buyer Dodgy , turns it down and the drops the price by 20k a few hours later. Even though he could get 70k at auction, allegedly.
Sooooooo, who's going to be the first to probe the guy with some questions?
I'm assuming it's coming into the UK as he says and is willing to take £25k looking at his responses there.

So a rocky start at £55k, he'll now take the first £25k offer.

Could be a worth a look once sitting in the UK?
Not that I'm interested for me but I'm curious as it is (or at least will be) very close to me. I've asked him for some more photos, chassis, interior etc and he's going to send some over. When I don't know! You're right he said in his message to me that £25k will buy it. I reckon you could get it less than that.
I messaged him through eBay, pointed out the non genuine and missing bits on the car,
and said that based on other cars for sale it was worth around £25k, not £45k, and pointed him to the advert for
the 13,000 mile car at sub £30k.
Smile

just been reading through the Q&A's on there (he's not put mine up), he's now saying the 45k bid was from a buyer
in Canada (where the car is/was) and that was in Canadian Dollars.

He's basically saying the first person to come up with £25k cash gets it.
Well it won't be me…thats for sure!!
hi guys

I think you are too kind on this....I would guess around 20-22k. needs some work, parts replacing, 50k, an Auto, eyebrows, TABS, and hes asking new owner to register? (which puts off a few)
