re seat runner bars for information
Posted by: steve.s - 08 Nov 2006, 01:11 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - No Replies

hi all

just to let you know, i have received the seat adjust bars from Lotus, however they are different.

shorter and bent differently (so they will be jammed on the floor)

however the end fit is perfect, so with a blowtorch and a wooden board to fix to, i'll try and bend to the correct profile.

shorter but will just need to reach under a tiny bit more.

i'll let every know how it goes as just over £10 new the pair is good!!!.

106734 AIR DEFLECTOR RH
http://delorean.com/dmcstore/ViewPage.asp?PageID=97

My car has been missing this part since I have had it. I am looking to find one, does anyone have one?

Also, DMCH sell the plastic edging strip for the hood 111388 + 111389
http://delorean.com/dmcstore/ViewPage.asp?PageID=93
If the pre-cut ones Houston have are as poorly cut as the strips already on my car (lengths are inconsistant and too short) then I am looking for a long roll that I can cut myself.

Completly off topic this but here goes -

After i (hopefully) pass my driving test, i want to get a car to get me to work and back everyday - and maybe to an odd DOC event.

Can anyone suggest a reliable make/model of car?

  Leaky still leaking!
Posted by: tom inman - 05 Nov 2006, 20:03 - Forum: 2 - Emission / Fuel Systems - Replies (1)

Finally gat chance to replace my fuel pump cover boot thingy, but in doing so i had to disconect the fuel lines. So now got another leak where they connect to the metal lines. Thought i might get away with not replacing the olive that is pressed on to the metal lines but noooo.
Just looked in the manual and it says they're called fir trees(?) but dosen't mention a size or type.
I haven't taken them off yet, can they be MADE to fit or do they need changing. Any advice and where i can get them from would be great.
Thanks
Tom :?

  Dyno Pull in a Delorean
Posted by: Emagine - 02 Nov 2006, 16:08 - Forum: 1 - Engine - Replies (18)

Afternoon all. Well finally got a chance to stick "Maddie" on a Dyno to get some ball park figures for what sort of power I'm getting.

I know we're still tweaking with the fueling so I needed to get a baseline so I could see what improvements can be made.

Just sticking the page up at the moment but it will be here

www.emagineproductions.co.uk/delorean
and click on the dyno link

Really good experience to do actually. Learn't a lot about what the car was up to at different RPM's. I know now I should be able to get at least another 20-30bhp when I get it richer in fuel at the top end. I did get about 33mpg on the run back from Edinburgh in August to I could sacrafice worse fuel economy for more horsepower.

Anyways, I'll let you all have a look see.

Also I could organise a Dyno Run Day for the DOC if anyone would be interested. It would work out at £35 + VAT a car for a power run. Could be fun. They have had quite a few Car Clubs down there now and they make up a bit of a league table when the club comes down. If enough people are interested I get it sorted!
