  flushing out the cooling system
Posted by: Emagine - 19 Jul 2007, 10:20 - Forum: 1 - Engine - Replies (2)

Kind of another "how to" needed really.

I want to flush through the cooling system on Maddie as its been doing funny things temperature wise the last few weeks.

I want to flush the system through and put in all new coolant.

Anyone got an idiots guide they wouldn't mind posting up?

Cheers guys

Putting a Delorean on Axle stands
Posted by: Emagine - 19 Jul 2007, 10:11 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (19)

Ok,

Here's a simple one, but I just want to be sure.

I've got a few jobs to do on Maddie, like replacing the accumulator and tightening up a loose drive shaft bolt.

I've got two jacks and two axle stands.

what's the best way to get the Delorean up to a good working height, safely, for me and the car?

Refitting door panels and door handle
Posted by: Outatime - 19 Jul 2007, 09:41 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (5)

Hi Guys!

I have removed all the interior trim panels on the passenger door (RHD) a long time back but have no idea how to refit the interior handle
back on!

Does it go back on before the lower trim panel, or does it go back on last? And if it's the last thing that goes back on, how can I get to the 2 screws that holds the handle?

Thanks for helping guys!

  RPM Relay
Posted by: stevie67cars - 18 Jul 2007, 23:55 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (2)

Does anybody have the proper cross reference for the proper RPM relay (BOSCH I think).
The reference no that I have is Bosch 0332-015-012 but I have got two relays from different bosch agents and they have given me the wrong ones. Looked like a conventional relay both times. Is this the correct number? Is the original one a Bosch?

Thanks in advance

Stephen

  Starter Motor.

Ok,
Me thinks my starter is on the way out, (well gone actually!) Whats the best way to test it? please.
2nd question, where do we go for service x change or remanufactured units? It's a paris-rhone unit I think and my car is a late vin so should not need the wiring mod.
Thanks
Chris

  Actuator 101752
Posted by: Chris Hawes - 17 Jul 2007, 12:28 - Forum: 7 - Heating / Air Conditioning - Replies (7)

The above 101752 part broke on me just before the car went to the workshop. Does anyone know where I can get this from?

DMCH now wants to only sell it for £40 as part of:-

I only had 2 of the 3 circlips holding 101752 in place
Scroll down to Push-on Fix/Grip Rings at this link www.cirteq.com/products.asp?s=2 to see a derivative of what is needed.

The DMC grip rings are of an imperial size and my search to replace the single broken one last year came to nothing. I had hoped that two out of the three would hold the 101752 actuator in place. It did stay put for around two years and then must have recently worked loose and then broke during operation at a awkward angle...

You can see how it moves the flaps etc for the airflow here:-

I am going to try faxing this to Dave Howarth but any other input would be greatly appreciated...

one of these lamps is from a Mk3 Cavalier (boot/bonnet light), the other is from a 1981 Delorean ("bonnet" light) and are made by a company called ULO.

Can you tell which is which?
