| Fuel Smell |

Hi all,
just thought I'd share this one with you to see if anyone else has experienced anything similar.
My new fuel tank sender was showing that I was allegedly running on empty today, so at lunchtime I squeezed £37 in the tank. The gauge still didnt read full though, this time telling me I had just over 3/4 of a tank *sigh* (possible replacement for new sender hopefully in pipeline btw...)
Anyway, having paid for the 'motion lotion', as I walked back to the car, I could see liquid dripping from under front of car (air con inop so I know its not that). As crawling under the front of the car on a busy petrol forecourt was not an option, I drove back to work. I had a good look under the car there, and couldnt see anything dripping which I thought was abit odd.
When I got back to the car tonight, the smell of petrol was very strong but it did seem to ease off after a few miles. My worry of course, is with the possibility of a fuel leak combined with Flopsy throwing flames out of her exhaust at every opportunity.......
My immediate thought was that maybe the fuel pump boot was loose, but I have had it suggested to me this evening that the leak could actually be from the new sender itself - has anyone else had this problem or have any other suggestions?
I haven't got time to have a look at it tonight, but at least my Cav's been fixed today so I can go back to using that for work and have a rummage under Flopsy's bonnet in the relative cool of my garage tomorrow night.
Cheers,
Claire

Hi all
I have removed my old front speakers and have ordered a set from DMCL, I just wanted to know if anyone else has replaced their speakers with these ones and what do they think of them??
My rear speakers just about work but I have the fader all the way to the front so the front ones do most of the work. Dont fancy replacing them at any stage!!

A quick note to all. The avatar upload is fully functional on this site, and you can use as you wish. If you decide to host our own avatar however, please keep the image width under 140 pixels, as larger sizes reduce the viewable area of written text, and disrupts the uniform shape of the thread you're posting in.
No real rules for the signature images, just keep em reasonable.
Many Thanks.

| How long is a new DMCH angle drive supposed to last? |

Hi all,
anyone had much experience of DMCH's remanufactured angle drives?
I had one of their new ones put in Flopsy less then 18 months ago, and yesterday it packed up after doing just 5341 miles (78008 - 72667)
This will be Flopsy's third angle drive that I know of - the previous owner had one fitted in the mid 90's and that had been dead for years when I got the car in 2002.
I'd only just got used to the novelty of a working speedo, so to see it stuck at zero again yesterday was annoying to put it mildly.......more bloody expense......... :x  :x
