  BTTF Question
Posted by: Carl Hammond - 02 Apr 2007, 17:21 - Forum: Off topic talk, general chat etc - Replies (6)

Hi Guys, Big Grin

So, I was idley flicking through the tv channels at the weekend and of course what was on ITV2 but BTTF! Despite seeing it a gazilion times now (although I could never get bored of these films), I managed to get hooked into it again!

Anyway, I have a question which I don't recall being asked before.

The scene towards the end where Marty meets the Doc after successfully getting his folks together again. He shows Doc the now restored polaroid of his family, and says; "Yeah, old George came through, he laid out Biff with one punch, I never knew he had it in him! Hell, my old man's never stood up to Biff in his life!"

The Doc then looks at the polaroid puzzled, and says "Never?"

Marty replies "No why?"

But the Doc doesn't answer why, and so it's never explained what he means by this.

Anybody know why the Doc questions this? :?

Or have I been taking too many stupid pills again! Shock

Carl

Japanese Film with a touch of BTTF
Posted by: Outatime - 02 Apr 2007, 09:58 - Forum: Off topic talk, general chat etc - Replies (1)

Dear All,

I have been looking on the web and came across this Japanese Film called "Summer Time Machine Blues". Thers are traces of BTTF and DeLorean models appears and seems to be based on the similar idea of time travel too...

Trailer (spot the BTTF Poster and DeLorean Model at the start of it! The clock tower and the font is also similar to the BTTF ones!):

Will try and get a copy from Japan and let you guys know all about it Big Grin

Cheers!

  Car Won't Start - Coil?
Posted by: Barson - 01 Apr 2007, 17:08 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (24)

oh dear.

Still having problems getting this puppy to run. Initially I thought this was a fuel issue, but I'm doubting that after I tested the coil:

I took a spark plug out and tested it on ground and only got a small spark. Nothing that would set your pants on fire, that's for sure.

I then connected a spark plug up to the coil directly and only get a small spark (definitely not large or big enough to see if it's blue...)

Set my multimeter thing to terminal 15 on the coil and to the ground and it reads 4.5v.

The coil is the blue one (bosch 0 221 122 001) ...assuming it's the original.

Any ideas would be appriciated.

cheers.
Barzo.

  Rear Light Surrounds
Posted by: Bandit - 30 Mar 2007, 19:52 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (2)

Took all the scabby, rusty self-tapping type screws out of the rear light surrounds today. I've replaced them with stainless ones & it looks way better. If anyone is interested in some let me know & I will find out the cost, the lot won't be more than a couple of quid or so & they make such a difference.

Posted by: dmcscott2002 - 29 Mar 2007, 18:12 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (8)

Hey Guys and Gals

Talking to Dave H a while back, He mentioned that he thought the last ever D with a Gas Flap in the hood was Vin 2112. Does anyone know any further details on this. Mines Vin 2107 and has the flap so if daves right mines one of the last lot made, really interested to find out about cars coming off the line around the same time as mine.

Cheers!

  Adding Manual Fan Switch
Posted by: Outatime - 29 Mar 2007, 14:04 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - No Replies

Dear All,

I want to add a manual fan switch to switch on the fan manually.

Apart from adding a switch parallel to the otterstat in the engine bay... is there any wires in the fuse compartment that I could wire to directly minimise the hazzle?

Cheers!
John
