I have now got a Volvo 760 sat in my drive with a Donor engine for my seized #2307

I would appreciate and advice fellow swappers may have.

I understand I need to.
Remove and swap sump and lower crankcase
Crank pulley
Alternator mounts
Oil and temp switches
Flywheel

I am planning on keeping all the Volvo fuel and ignition distributor
Questions?
Do I need any other ecu or other parts from the old Volvo or old Delorean engine?

  Hello From South Wales

Hi Everyone!

My name is Sam, never owned a Delorean (yet) but Im looking to buy a project/restoration vehicle.  I have mainly spent my time building 4x4s, restoring WW2 Jeeps and I have built an amphibious 4x4 car.  I am now looking for my next project/investment.

No doubt like all people new to DMC, I will have many questions.  I have bought the Essential Buyers Guide book and have been researching and looking at various cars.  Like a few other people, I have been looking to import one from the USA. It seems the main source of DMC's is the Beverley Hill Car Club?  They seem very helpful and I like the security of dealing with a bigger known dealer at the moment.

Looking forward to learning and hearing your thoughts!

Cheers

Sam

  DOC-UK subs
Posted by: Guinney1971 - 20 Sep 2020, 15:32 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (2)

Hi all,

a few years ago at the AGM, it was agreed that subs would go up to £27.50 due to ever increasing postage charges.

Many people did change their standing orders/Paypal payments to reflect this, but we still have a number of members
paying the old (UK) rate of £25.00.

If you get 5 mins, can you just check your online payments, and ensure that they show the correct amount please.

Ta muchly

  Chassis wanted

My current chassis needs major work and is therefore uneconomical to repair. Before I go ahead and consider ordering a brand new one does anyone have a usable manual one for sale? Thanks

Its that time of year everyone where I start badgering for photo submissions for
the Club calendar.

I know its been an odd year with virtually no car shows, but hopefully some of you
have been out with your car and your camera.

I've had some brilliant pics after a request on the Club Facebook page, but I could always
use a few more to give some variety.

Please email your pictures (as hi res as possible) to treasurer@deloreans.co.uk

I'm hoping to get everything finalised by the end of September at the latest.

Hi, my name is Steve and have just joined the Owners Club and as of yesterday evening completed the purchase of my Delorean and it’s journey from the US should start over the next few days. I’m sure I’ll be reaching out to the forum over the next few months, so I’ll thank you all in advance now! :-)

It’s getting exciting now, just had the email from the shippers to complete all the following forms ahead of my project car arriving in a weeks time!

I know only then the fun will start!

Please see below documentation required in order for us to clear the vehicle through UK customs; -

  1. C384 Form - Importation of a Private Motor vehicle for a recent purchase. If this is to be imported to a VAT / EORI Registered Business, please let us know asap.

  2. Historical Vehicle Declaration – Allowing us to clear at the historical rate of V.A.T @ 5%.

  3. Declaration of Personal Import.

  4. Individual Authorisation to declare goods to Tariff Heading 9705000090

  5. Please confirm the US charges/insurance/oceanfreight. This has to be included on the customs entry.

  Bicester Heritage 18-20th September
Posted by: Darren C - 21 Jul 2020, 10:40 - Forum: Midlands - Replies (2)

Hi Everyone,
I hope you've all healthy & safe.

I have had a call from my friends at Brand Events (who organise carfest) the lovely lady who sorts out the vehicle & club displays is trying to put together a "Celebration of Car Clubs" and is looking at holding an event at Bicester Heritage over the weekend 18-20th September
For those who haven't been to Bicester, its an old RAF base which has the majority of buildings occupied by businesses specialising in Classic Car restoration & services, including the Heritage Academy which actively trains & promotes kids wanting to learn traditional automotive skills (and courses for Adults too) The site has many Aircraft hangers that have been converted to classic car storage. The stuff in there is just AMAZING (last time I saw a fellas collection of F40 cars into double figures, with delivery miles on them, plus lots of awesome exotica & famous race cars in storage)
For the ladies, Bicester has an amazing shopping village nearby.

This is just a tentative Post to see who would be interested in coming along, maybe one day or two, to make a nice Delorean display?

What do you think guys?
