After a two-year Covid break this friendly show returns for its 10th year !
 
A great day out for all Classic Vehicle Owners and Enthusiasts, but also lots to keep all of the Family entertained. A must for your September diary.

  * Entrance only £4 pp, Children FREE *

Show vehicles from 10.30am, please.
Bacon Butty Breakfasts will be available for purchase.
 
*Show Vehicle Drivers & Passengers - HALF price*
(suggested donation to cover large show expenses)

Funds raised will help to keep open our Village Hall and our beautiful mediaeval Church which sits alongside the show field and will form part of the day’s programme. There will also be stalls raising money for Scouts, and Royal British Legion

Though we have never turned anyone away on the day, it greatly assists our planning to know in advance if you are intending to come. Replies using one of the methods  listed at the bottom of this message would be very helpful. Thank you.

Once again, huge thanks to Danny Hopkins - Editor of Practical Classics - for his continued support for this show and his informative parade commentary, plus the fantastic prize of a feature in Practical Classics !!

Vehicle parades, prizes, stalls, games, food, beer, plants, live music,  C13th Church displays - learn about burials connected to 10 Downing Street! A perfect location with marquees if wet, shade under trees if too hot.

This Show has become a highlight in the regional summer calendar yet has retained its quaint charm with a growing loyal following; nearly 200 display vehicles last time.

DIRECTIONS: If you have never been before, Croydon is a small village set on a hill in beautiful South Cambridgeshire countryside. The village lies about 7 miles north of Royston on the A1198 and about 1 mile west of Arrington and Wimpole Park. The Postcode for the Show is SG8 0DX

Issue 93 of D News is being posted out on Monday I hope you enjoy.!! Nice feature on the last Great British Car Journey event from last year, also being held again this year where I'm sure all DeLoreans are again invited along.

Dear classic vehicle owners,
 
On Sunday 4th September, we are pleased to confirm that we will be celebrating the return of Amersham Heritage Day 2022, and we would love for you to join us.
 
Many of you will of course have been to our Heritage Day celebrations before, but for those who may be unfamiliar… as well as vintage vehicles there will be a whole host of other entertainment and activities running throughout the old town.
 
In 2019 (the last event held before Covid), we had an estimated attendance of 8,000-10,000 people throughout the day. We are hoping to match that again for 2022, and there seems to be a huge appetite from the public so far. And of course, the classic vehicles are seen by many as the jewel in the crown of the event!
 
If you would like to join us, there’s no need to register, just turn up on the day! There will be stewards on site to direct vehicle owners. There will be an allocated area reserved specifically for classic and vintage vehicles which will be accessed from the top end of the Old Town High Street via Shardeloes and Mill Lane.  Please find attached a map attached, for your convenience.
 
Vehicles will be able to arrive anytime from 09.30am until 10.30am. There will be lots of people, pedestrians and cars on Sunday morning, so we would ask that you please take extra care when arriving on site.

Hello DOC members in Ireland, 

This is Mike, a non-owning member/enthusiast from Scotland. I was bikepacking from Derry/Londonderry to Portnoo, Donegal yesterday to meet up with family (headwinds all the way!) and as I was coming into Letterkenny was suddenly surrounded by a glorious flock of DeLoreans. It was honestly a fantastic moment as I’d never seen a D out of the blue like that and to see so many at once... 

Anyway, I just wanted to say I was the lunatic with the bright orange backpack punching the air like a madman and waving. Thanks for waving back 

Will the members be in Donegal for a few days or was it just a day trip? I now have the use of a car and would love to say hello if it was possible.

Following on from how successful last years day was, we thought we would like to re-run the day this year and possibly turn it in to an annual event.

I think the August Bank Holiday worked for us and am proposing the 29th August again.

Hello,
I've finally found the time to put Frenchy back on the road after a 4 yr hibernation in a carcoon.

She started fine and ticked over lovely about two months ago, but recently I needed to replace the fuel pump that stopped turning.
Heard it priming, but then the engine would only run for about 10 seconds.
Occasionally turning key to start caused a "click" (some relay?) and complete power failure, which recovered after some deep breathing downtime!

Frenchy hasn't moved yet, and more recently, even after 2 new accessory and an RPM/fuel relays, the instrument cluster now has no power, and the fuel pump now can't be heard to
prime, so the engine just happily cranks away with no firing!

No fuses blown, incl no.10! Weird...

Any troubleshooting thoughts to point me in the right direction would be sooo helpful please?

(my intention is just to able to drive her out of her carcoon, flatbed her to Chris in Canvey Island for a well deserved thorough going over after her rest!)
