It's got to that time of the year (again) where the organizers of the above event have confirmed stands for this years show. As ever I'm looking for people to very kindly volunteer to display cars/help with the stand Etc.
I know a few ideas were batted around last year regarding displaying historical items but logistics as ever seems to be the issue. It is a big commitment but as those who attend can vouch we are incredibly well received bu the public who love to visit the stand and cars.
Any suggestions are more than welcome
Chris
AGM Will be at 3.30 on Sunday 13th November, meet at club stand

Hi all,
if anyone is interested in a 'mini meet' and tech sesh at our house in Nottinghamshire
next Saturday, then drop me a DM.
John Kennedy who owns DWU140W is driving down to see us (sans DeLorean) next Saturday,
and he'd love to meet some more owners and chat all things DeLorean. I think so far we've got
Andy Westerman, Chris McGeachy and Rich Hanlon joining us, and possibly a new owner from
Matlock, but if anyone else wants to join us with our without a DeLorean, then the more the merrier!
If the weather is nice, I'll fire the bbq up too (if its not, I'll do pizzas, chips, nuggets, etc).
As I said, we're in Nottinghamshire, about 5 miles from J27 of the M1. We've got a fairly decent driveway,
but space will be limited, so I might put my car out on the road to make more space. Phill has a few jobs
to do on Sorbet, so a tinker session is definitely in order!
Claire & Phill
#2292 Flopsy & #6772 Sorbet.

Hi All,
some of you may know via Facebook, that sadly Tris passed away earlier this week
after a long battle with illness.
Our thoughts are with his wife Joanne and his daughter Megan, and all his family and
friends at this sad time.
His DeLorean 'TCZ' has recently gone to a new owner near Mansfield, and remains in
the DOC-UK family. Ironically, Tris driving TCZ is the Club calendar picture for this month.
A full tribute to Tris will be in the next issue of DeLorean News, which should be out
within the next few weeks.
RIP mate

#1867 just killed its battery (as in, completely) which was only two years old. I've changed the cable connectors and robbed a battery off another car as the Really Retro show is only a week away. I'm getting a 24 milliamp draw (doors closed and unlocked) which reduces to 11 milliamp when I pull fuse 17 (cigar lighter and clock).
I gather DeLoreans were factory fitted with parasitic draw, but how much is normal?

| CRAIG Radio issue - sound on one side |

I only get sound from the right (passenger side) speakers. The left speakers produce a faint "pop" when the radio is turned on, but that's it. There's continuity through the speaker terminals. Very low voltage signal through the wires (about .04 volts with radio on). I've removed the tuning/volume knobs, the nuts behind the knobs, and the faceplate. According to my workshop manual, I should remove the air vents above the radio. Unhelpfully, it gives no hints on how to do this. It's not obvious to me how the vents should be pushed/pulled/squeezed to release, so explanation appreciated.
Also, any ideas what the issue could be? Unless the problem just reveals itself to me, I'm not really sure what my plan is once I get the radio out.

Hi all,
After a long resurrection and a few "test drives" (in reality, confidence building drives), I took 4566 to Goodwood on Sunday for their Goodwood 75 Breakfast club. The drive, especially home, highlighted a couple of issues; in particular that she doesn't like staying in 5th gear for some reason... otherwise, a lot of heavy traffic meant the cooling system got a work out, so that's at least something positive.
https://www.goodwood.com/grr/event-cover...fast-club/ - she's on the site!

On returning home I started taking her apart! Haha... not really, but I had to sort some bits out; I had no aerial reception (fixed), my driver's side door lights failed (the connector fell off) and I couldn't get the engine cover open (maybe heat?; it's working now...). Also, my gear gaiter tore along one side and it appears to be glued to the center console rather than via metal clips. Little mysteries.
All part of the classic-car ownership fun. It was a very positive morning, especially representing a year on the Goodwood grid!
