  Roof T-Panel Removal
Posted by: Paul McKay - 06 Dec 2006, 18:49 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (10)

I have a small ding in my roof T-Panel. I was wondering how to remove this, and perhaps have an attempt at taking that ding out, with some gentle persuasion.

Is this wise, or am i better leaving this well alone?

  Door and hood alignment
Posted by: Paul McKay - 06 Dec 2006, 18:44 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (6)

Hi all,

My drivers side door could use an adjustment to let it close as easily as the passenger side and bring it out slighty at the front so the black trim line meets flush.

Any easy tips on this, i have tried unscrewing and moving the door striker pins but cant get it sitting as good as i want the door to.

Also the bonnet sits a bit high beside the windscreen and above the front fenders. I notice that under the black plastic trim which runs along the inside of the trunk on the passenger side, there is more washers, about 5 or 6 on each bolt. Less on the other side.

What is the best way to get your bonnet sitting flush?

Thanks

OK, lets play a game.

Heres the rules:

You can say 1 (i repeat 1) word or phrase to describe the DeLorean...thats it...lets see how many we can get.

I'll start.

Beautifully crafted

Should I replace the thermo time switch and Idle
speed thermistor while I’m in there?

I haven't diagnosed any problems directly associated with these, but would it be sensible? I'm just thinking because it's not easily accessible.

I'm in there because I'm replacing my vacuum hoses (hopefully sorting my idle issues out).

Is there anyway to test either of these switches just by running a multimeter across them?

I'm an idiot because I should have check before removing the intake and meter head... :? Cry

Sky 3 - Best Movie Cars, DeLorean in at #2!
Posted by: Jonny Jones - 02 Dec 2006, 00:35 - Forum: Off topic talk, general chat etc - Replies (18)

I filmed this directly from my TV this evening. Sky 3's 'Best Movie Cars' chart.

To be honest I thought it would get number 1, but there we go. And they interviewed an American replica owner! No dis-respect to the American enthusiasts, but seeing as its a British production, I would have thought they'd interview Glen or maybe Chris Parnham! Quintin Wilson also annoyed me with his constant hate for the car throughout the 3min segment. I still find it funny how much people don't know about the car. "You have a real problem with those doors if you park between two cars!":x Essay over haha the link is below - its SKY3NUMBER2.mov.
