Ok, so i gots me volo 240 today, nice little runner till i get me d, it was free so what the hay, anyway the radio was crapping out on me, so i goes off to halfords as you do, wait for ages and ages trying to flag down the 1 store member working on a saturday as they do, basicly i bought the system and a iso connector thingy so i can plug in the radio. i think it may be the wrong one tho. The connector i got was this:
but i plugged it in, powers up, finds the radio signals, no sound, hmm, so i think the connector is wrong, altho on some sites it says before 1990 everywhere else it says after 1990
Basicly its the 88 model i have and i was wondering if anyone could point me in the direction of the right adaptor thingy.
Ive seen
but that looks totally wrong to what i have, i have a connector that looks like the one in the top pic
anyways not sure if that made much sense but any help would be appreciated.
thanks

Not sure how much interest it will generate but it will be interesting if everyone post their D's Exhaust Tone here, and state what kind of set up you have that makes this noise.
I can't post mine now as the D is not with me, but I will do so as soon as I can
Anyone?

TAB replacement |

Dear all,
When replacing the TABs, is it best to change the shims and the rubber bung as well?
Or is changing the TABs + Nuts sufficient?
Or shall I get all the shims and rubber ready just in case before a TAB change?

Dear All,
How big is the chance that the original studs could be reused when removing for the first time in 25 years? (i.e. what's the chance that the 12 will not snap)
And if I do decide to use new studs, but only 12 of them attached to the unused inserts, will it be sufficient to keep exhaust gas from leaking?
Or is it best to put another 12 new studs in the original inserts... totaling 24 studs?
Thanks for any help in advance!
