  Going to Universal Studios?
Posted by: Stuart Rees - 06 Aug 2007, 02:43 - Forum: Off topic talk, general chat etc - Replies (11)

Hi,
I've been a member for a few years now, but haven't got around to posting much on the forum, so here goes...

Anyone planning on going to Universal studios before the ride closes?
I will be there on the 15th & 16th of Aug. I always promised myself that I'd go there one day ( for the past 15 years) - and I wasn't going to miss ridin' the ride.

Some interesting photos from last Thursday here :-

Wonder if they'll let me walk around the infamous 'Boneyard' - nice KITT project car!

Cheers
Stu

I was just wondering if anyone knew anything about this car?

It seems very good but slightly on the dear side for me at the moment.

  Battery recess
Posted by: Carl Hammond - 03 Aug 2007, 12:41 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (4)

Hi all, Big Grin

I was wondering if I can ask a big favour from somebody please?

I was looking for the exact measurement of the recess area where the original sized battery would fit.

Reason for asking is I have just purchased a new battery (Halfords HCB096 Calcium battery) but it is much larger than the standard size!

However, after speaking to Nick T, it is entirely possible to fit this battery in the compartment.

However, to do this, I would have to fill the recess area with a piece of wood, this would enable the new battery to sit level in the compartment area.

This is where you lot come in, as I need to cut out the correct sized piece of wood to fit, and the trouble is I have absolutely no room to work in without pushing the car out (and that's not easy on your own) and I can't get to the area to even measure it!

Would appreciate anyones help me out on this please? Big Grin

Thanks

  Wanted - Exhaust System
Posted by: PJ Grady (Europe) - 03 Aug 2007, 12:01 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - No Replies

All,

I have a customer with a tight budget that desperately needs to replace his entire exhaust (from the manifolds to the tailpipes!).

Before he commits to buying a new stainless one - or whatever, does anyone in the club have a good condition unit to sell (maybe if you've upgraded your system to stainless)?

Drop me a mail if you have....sales@pjgrady.co.uk

Thanks

I think PJ Grady might be willing to contribute towards this.
