Pageant of Motoring, Weston S Mare, 16/17th April 2022
Posted by: Chris Williams - 09 Oct 2021, 17:22 - Forum: South West - No Replies

Good Morning,
I am sending this email to see if your club would be interested in attending the Pageant of Transport car show in Weston-super-Mare in 2022 which sometimes is one of the biggest events to start of the year.
The event is held annually over Easter weekend and is situated on the beach lawns in Weston-super-Mare right next to the seafront. The event is making its return on the 16th-17th April 2022 after being cancelled for the last two years due to Covid and for its return we want to make it as big of an event as possible. Traditionally it has been a show for classic cars but as its Pageant of Transport we would like to see a whole variety of transport options. Cars, motorbikes, tractors, lorries, buses & military vehicles. Anything of interest is certainly welcome.
It is a charity event where all proceeds raised are provided to the Weston-super-Mare Sea Cadets. The Sea cadets are an organisation to design to help children learn and develop new skills both on and off the water, based on the traditions and customs which are used in the Royal Navy. Many cadets achieve qualifications which are both national and internationally recognised through a whole host of activities such as but not limited to sailing, kayaking, powerboating, mountain biking, rock climbing, flying and many, many more.
If this would be an event that you club may be interested in attending then let me know and I will add you to the emailing list send updates on the upcoming event.
Also if anybody is interested in learning anything more about the sea cadets let me know and I can get one of the staff members to provide you with more information.

Kindest Regards
George Kettleborough

  Craig radio 9-pin plug diagram?
Posted by: lordivanhoe - 06 Oct 2021, 21:40 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (5)

Hi all, just pulled my Apparently non-working Craig radio from my D (lots of fun!) There is a nine pin plug, and there was a 12v supply going to the red wire. Anyone got a diagram showing the details of the 9-pin plug, by any chance, so I can try to set it up for bench test?  Also, in case I'm daft, how do you turn it on? There's a tenth pink wire which sits separate, I'm assuming that's to trigger the aerial..? Any help gratefully received!! ?

OCD question 1... bonnet badge placement?
Posted by: lordivanhoe - 28 Sep 2021, 16:03 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (3)

Hi, not that I'm really over-fastidious or anything, but does anyone have a set of placement ordinates for the bonnet badge, perhaps?
I've bought one 'o they stick-on 'Delorean' bonnet badges, which obvs sticks on somewhere down in the bottom left corner of the bonnet (looking from the front).. but does anyone have an 'official' set of measurements for exactly where it goes?
I could just do it 'by eye' but I'd hate to then find out I'd got it 'wrong'..!!   Confused
Thanks!
Smile

  Prom nights

Hi all, doing a prom night dropoff for a friend's son. No charge, as I know them well, but just wondering what people are charging for a couple of hrs and say 20 Mile round trip these days.

Just in case I get any further enquiries off the back of this one.

Cheers Rich

  Help identifying electrical connection
Posted by: Justwatching - 17 Sep 2021, 17:21 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (6)

I absolutely love* finding things unplugged in an engine bay...

Does anyone know what it is/does? It's at the rear of the engine. Appears to be on (or next to) the distributor.
