I've been given the heads up about Really Retro 2022, which is at a different venue to the one we
went to in 2018.
Details here: http://www.reallyretroshow.com/
I've emailed the organisers asking about a Club Stand, so if there is enough interest I'll take the matter further with
them.
I'll be going, but as part of the Cavalier & Chevette Club as my De won't be on the road. Phill might take #6772
if its on the road though.

Car Show, Bidford 29th May 2022 |

Hello Chris,
Thanks for taking my call earlier and herewith the details of a car showing event on our Airfield near Bidford on Avon, in May (29th) - so that you could include this in a few of your upcoming weekly newsletters to your Members?
The enclosures contain a flyer and some pictures from past events, with more detail. If the weather is good, it can be popular and some 1-2000 members of the public have attended such days in the past. We are in the process of arranging for a Spitfire and Hurricane of the BBMF to make a flypast soon after lunchtime, and the site has good facilities etc and grass parking for the car display.
This is a charity event – so whilst we are not charging for entry, we are expecting everyone attending to make some kind of donation. Because we only have space for ~100 Classic/vintage cars (and for the sake of variety), we are also limiting each Vintage or Classic type to 5-10 parking spaces (on a first come, first served basis), and those coming will need to send me the registration number of their car before the event – upon which I will email back an entry disc by return. Arrival before 9:30am on the day to park up is essential please - to avoid/mitigate congestion risk on the local road(s). Because of the terms of our insurance, the event will close at 5pm that evening.
If this is of interest to a Member, I’d need direct email contact from all interested individual parties by the 1st of May 2022 - in order to allow the time to process the responses and issue them with an entry ‘disc’ by return.
I look forward to your reply, and do let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
Clive Sutton

Dear all,
Hope you are well and safe.
After a break of two years, the Steam & Cider Fair is back, as part of the Summer of festivals’ full programme of festivals and we want the classic vehicle display to steal the limelight so show our residents the amazing vehicles we have. This year we want it to be bigger and better than ever before. We are holding the event on Saturday 10 September at the Old Dagenham Park and wanted to get it early in your diaries.
The Steam & Cider Fair is a great way to promote your club as the event attracts around 7,000 people with many car enthusiasts.
Please find attached vehicle application form to showcase your vehicle at this year’s Steam & Cider Fair on Saturday 10 September at Old Dagenham Park. If you are interested in attending, please complete and return.
Further information about the event can be found at www.lbbd.gov.uk/steamandcider and our full programme of events can be found at www.lbbd.gov.uk/summeroffestivals.
We would be grateful if you could share this with other enthusiasts, colleagues, websites, magazines, clubs and friends so we can make this bigger than before! Let’s make sure we don’t lose this event ever again like we did last year by showing everyone that the classic vehicle display is what attracts our residents to this event!
We look forward to seeing you and your classic vehicle at the event!
Thanks

Daft Question..? Gearbox =/ Diff? |

So, was thinking of changing my [manual] gearbox oil (seen the threads, Comma 75/90 GL5 purchased, got 5 litres and expecting to use 3-3.7).
Additionally, however;
Is the 'final drive' or diff separate from the gearbox? If so, presumably there's another pair of drain/fill plugs to find?
And if I wanted to change the oil in there as well, how much litreage should I expect, and is it the same stuff as for the gearbox?
Grateful for advice,
Cheers!

Hi all,
I’ve noticed that when my driver door opens fully, it’s rubbing against the corner of the t panel. I think this might be pretty common but I just wondered if anyone has come up with a way to fix it, or do people just ignore it?
Thanks
Darren

Hi all,
My car starts first time and ticks over bang on 750rpm. At idle it sounds fine but as soon as you give it a bit of gas it starts popping occasionally. In addition to this power is well down and tops out at around 50mph.
Has anyone seen this before? Can anyone suggest a cure? I think it could be the injectors that are clogged up but it would be good to know someone has seen the same
Thanks!
Darren

Dear Friends,
I hope this email reaches you well.
Further to the Government’s recent announcement on Thursday 24 February 2022 advising that all COVID-19 restrictions are now lifted, we wanted to reach out to you all one last time and remind you of our Charity Classic Car Run which will shortly be taking place in April!
Please note we still have some spots available so if you would like to take part, do kindly contact us with your entry form as soon as possible to secure your place in the run. We have attached the relevant details previously supplied below along with the entry form attached for your reference.
We look forward to seeing you all there!

Charity Classic Car Run
24th April 2022
For and on behalf of Dhiraj Shah
We had to cancel this event which was originally scheduled for 19th April 2020. Last 18 months or so have been difficult and challenging for all of us due to the Pandemic. We hope that we will have some form of normality in 2022. With this in mind we have now scheduled the event for 24th April 2022. We are very excited to arrange the event and looking forward to your support to help the charities which have been starved of cash due to the pandemic.
We had a successful event in April 2019 and thanks to you we had managed to raise a staggering sum of £3,000. Monies raised were split between several charities but following were some of them:-
Lilly Pad Appeal
Hope & Home for Children
Air Ambulance
M S Society
Croydon Playing Fields
I wish to thank all of you that took part in that year’s event and have pleasure in attaching details of the event for 2022.

Hi all,
Finally got VIN10579 on the road and needed to get some plates on her. I decided to opt for the sto n sho option from the US. The great thing about it is its just attached with a single screw under the bumper. The plate itself sits just in front of the bumper and the great thing is you can pull the pin underneath and remove it.
Sto n sho do 2 options. The first is the US style plate and the second is the UK standard size. I was told im the first person to buy the UK one so thought i'd share how great it is!
If anyone wants to see the install you can find it on the Delorean Tech youtube channel.
