while he had some business management issues for some, he was a great innovator at a time when there weren't too many vendors. He'll be missed

  Carfest SOUTH 23rd-25th August 2019
Posted by: Darren C - 03 Jul 2019, 15:54 - Forum: DOC National Events, Car shows, AGM's and others - Replies (5)

Hi everyone,

I’m pleased to announce that the Delorean stand has been booked & confirmed for Carfest South 2019  [Image: biggrin.png]
(Interest was low on North & the information was so late this year that we thought it not viable)

As with previous years, we have space for 5 cars each day (Fri, Sat & Sunday)

Each year this event just gets bigger & better (just ask anyone who’s attended before. it’s like Goodwood Festival of Speed meets Live Aid!) and BEST of all it’s in aid of BBC Children in Need

Dates are:

23rd -25th August 2019

Further details on the website (book through me!)

http://www.carfest.org/welcome/welcome-t...south-2019

As per previous years the Club package offers Car & two persons at a greatly discounted rate to public tickets (which are VERY limited to buy) with options for participant additional family tickets if required.

Okay, the GOOOOOOOOD NEWS...this year for the very first time there is a reduction in price!

1 x Delorean & 2 people is ONLY £50 for the weekend plus camping (if required at £25/night)

Please let me know if you wish to come along and join in the fun!

  Owners nearby
Posted by: Boz666 - 18 Jun 2019, 16:50 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (5)

Hi All
Got the car in for its first MOT this week and all being well will get the paperwork off to DVLA. Have found out loads about the car while prepping it for the test, some good and some causes for concern. The car only has 5k on it so lots of storage in its history. I would really like to get a more experienced owner to take a look around it once on the road and get some insights, I am near to Northwich in Cheshire, are there any owners close to me?

Star Automated heaterbox project
Posted by: Reinsch - 15 Jun 2019, 18:21 - Forum: 7 - Heating / Air Conditioning - Replies (1)

Hello members,

I thought I will share my project in regards of automation of heater box. As my project car #4454 is undergoing resto-modification, all parts are reviewed and upgraded if possible.
I explain most of the details in video attached.
if you want to know prior to watching - I did standard renovation of box, but also lined it inside with silver tape to increase efficiency. On top of that I've added electric stepper motor to control air mixing flap (no more mechanical cable). Direction flaps are still based on vacuum actuators, but those are connected to air solenoids. Heart of this project is Arduino microprocessor that will be also gathering data from few temperature sensors, to achieve demanded cabin temperature (this will be set by dial knob).
For testing purposes I'm using touch screen, but vehicle control panel will have knob. More in video:

  Bracket under dash
Posted by: Boz666 - 12 Jun 2019, 12:24 - Forum: 3 - Electrical - Replies (3)

Hi all

I know this is a big ask but can anyone get a picture of the bracket that holds the wiper control module and buzzer in its location under the dash. I have got under there while fitting a steering column bush and this bracket is just hanging under the dash and not fixed to anything. I have tried stuffing it into various locations but none look right.

Any help is very much appreciated.

  Roof T-piece
Posted by: Boz666 - 02 Jun 2019, 08:53 - Forum: 8 - Frame / Body / Interior - Replies (3)

Looking for some advice on how to tackle some damage to the roof t-piece. No idea when/how this happened but when I removed the piece it was clear that this has been off before and looking at the damage I would guess the sun screen cover was repeatedly rammed into it. I can get a new piece shipped from the US at some expense but the right people must be able to straighten this. Someone not too far away would also be good, I am in Cheshire. The marks on the metal are blood, the edges are like razor blades.
