  VIN 3010
Posted by: Alanoftheyear - 21 Sep 2019, 16:11 - Forum: Members Cars - Replies (14)

The day has finally come! To be honest I thought it would've taken me way longer but after just 3/4 month of really, actively looking to buy...I am the owner of Delorean VIN 3010, grey interior, 5-speed manual with gas flap hood.

Like other people here, I've been a BTTF fan since I was like 10, have collected every possible material item and replica from the trilogy, have an entire sleeve tattoo about it (with 2 Deloreans in it) and I’ve also done the filming location tour in Los Angeles twice.

I was about time I got the last (and best) thing of them all, an actual Delorean car Smile

Since I decided to buy a car and started looking online and on the forums, my passion went beyond the movie and I came to actually really love and appreciate the car as “just a really cool classic car” instead of just as a movie character.

I was about to buy a huge project/restoration car a few weeks ago when the opportunity came flying at my door from California for this car which is in pretty good condition (compared to the other one) and is a runner.

I finalized the sale yesterday and the car will probably ship sometime next week.

Not sure how much actually needs to be done there but I’m looking forward to it arriving in Southampton!

Looking forward to connecting with the other owners now that I’m “one of you” and be at car meetings around the UK and Europe Smile

  Project car in France?
Posted by: Stuart Rees - 14 Sep 2019, 12:17 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - Replies (3)

Since there's a shortage of project cars in the UK, seen this Delorean for sale in France.

*Disclaimer* I have no idea if this is a genuine advert, but worth investigating...

At around £21K could be a good purchase, there is body damage (A trip to PJ Grady will sort that)

Located in Le Havre, so get it to the UK while were still in the EU...!

Hi All

I "might" be getting my hands on a project car with no engine. If anyone has one (possibly in the UK) and is willing to sell please get in touch.

Thanks!

  On the road

Taken a little longer than I was hoping but I have upgraded from living in the garage to rolling restoration. Still lots of work to be done but I can now hit the road when the urge takes me.

Hi All

I am missing the plastic cover that goes under the wing mirror on the drivers(left) side. If anyone has one and is willing to sell please get in touch.

Thanks

  DOC UK 2020 Calendar
Posted by: Guinney1971 - 04 Sep 2019, 12:07 - Forum: General Discussions on the DOC / Car / Company / JZD - Replies (13)

I've had some excellent submissions this year, and whilst the calendar for 2020 has been designed and
is 'ready to go', I'm holding back as the prices have gone up by around 30% from last year, so I'm currently
negotiating with the supplier and also looking into alternatives.

I'll update the forum and DOC Facebook page when I have more info, I'll be looking to order 50 wall calendars
once again, and they will be on a first come first served basis.

Possible Project car for sale UK
Posted by: Chris Williams - 28 Aug 2019, 12:04 - Forum: DeLorean Cars or Parts For Sale or Wanted - Replies (7)

There is a possible D Project available for sale, it would really only suit a restorer with the skills to do it:
Good points:
Bodywork done by ChrisN, it's in the UK and every thing's paid for.
Bad Points,
Not running, no engine but a replacement would be provided, needs a body off to strip/repair the chassis or deal with any surface rust in-situ. It is however a solid chassis/needs a full interior re-trim/needs a new windscreen
Roof box is OK, This is not a project that would be done in a few weekends, but it is one of those rare things a UK project. I would rather not post the sellers details myself (not me!) but I know they are on the forum. If someone is genuinely interested please contact me in the first instance and I will pass on your details unless the owner pops up!

  Hello!

Hi everyone.

My names Lee and I've been a fan of the BTTF films since there release and always dreamed of owning a Delorean. Still remember the first time I saw a D when I was around 14 years old down in Cornwall. It was parked on a garage roof!! My father asked the owner if I could have a photo next to it. From that moment I knew 1 day I would have to own one.

Located in the West Midlands and we've just bought a new home with a large garage so it now time to fill it with a Delorean!

Been watching the listings over the past few years and I feel I'll get a better deal if I ship from the US. Whats everyone's thoughts on this?

Looking for a grey interior, would prefer an auto but happy with a manual if the price is right!

Looking forward to using the forum!

Cheers.
