Remaining off topic, James R G, one of the main providers of 3D printed parts has made these in two variants and they are sold through DeLoreanGo. If that is of any assistance...?

Well I never!
Have been all over the DGo site (or at least thought I had!) and never spotted them.
I guess sometimes you just don't know what you don't know!!  :-D

As Chris suggested, I have a few sets that were cast off an original set taken off of 1697. I had planned to release them, but the originals were fairly crudely made, and each would have needed fettling to fit all cars, which meant I'd need to fit them to a few different cars to get an average size fit. In that time DMCH messaged me to imply that they were going to release these so I didn't need to waste my time getting them ready for market.

To be honest I wasn't really willing to sell something that wasn't perfect, and that was work I wasn't really willing to do for the £30 a set I thought they would be worth. In the end James decided to do his set, I believe they were done by eye without measuring an original set, but they do look good, and are probably more precise than the real ones, which were epoxy or polyester resin hand-poured into an open mould (there are no part numbers or anything like that).

Anyway, I probably have a couple of spare castings in the loft, I would need to check - depends if you want an 'authentic' part (for what that's worth)

Good shout, the cabinets would be the issue. I know we can rent them from the on-site companies. I will make some enquiries.
Chris

Have sent you an email about this, with a link to the supplier, they are stupidly expensive IMHO but If you can get your stuff there (and collect it) then I'm sure its' something we can do. It would be a really interesting addition that would I'm sure be very appreciated.

Just to get this back on topic and so people understand what's involved. Thank you for the very kind offers so far, any display vehicle has to be on-site from Thursday PM until after 18.00hrs Sunday 10th-13th November. They can-not be moved/removed at any time during the weekend. You don't have to be there yourself all weekend (unless you wish to be) the vehicles are very well looked after and fully insured by the club. Clearly entry tickets are covered but that's it really we can probably cover fuel costs and a meal as well as all the tea and coffee you can drink but nothing as exiting as accommodation,
If this still appeals then please comment again, we will ideally require 3 cars, 1 is already booked so another two example's would be welcomed.

I'm all booked for the whole weekend and my car is available if needed (once I swap out my rear brake calipers that is!)
Otherwise, can help fetch and carry stuff on the Thursday.

Looking forward to it!

I left a spot free in my calendar to allow me to make my car available. However, I'm not competing, so if others are lining up, and you don't need my car, then i'll consider myself as a reservist.

I'm the same as Rissy, I live local to the NEC so easy for me either way, just need to know as I'll need to sort my work schedule.

If anyone from Derby's/Notts is heading down to the NEC on the Thursday, could
they take the Calendars and a few bits with them?

I should be able to Claire, yes, no problem. Think Chris might be another option too if you're likely to see him before then?
