Hard to see in your pics they looked like rubber.

In which case they are the steel clip strips that hold the mesh in the openings of the lower engine lid.

Have you got a picture of 9 & 10 from the other side?

Ahhhh, you crafty so & so

No 9 is the bracket that supports the glovebox striker catch, but it still has a part of the broken striker plate screwed on to it.

I knew I'd seen it before, but it didnt look right.

ahh, i thought 9 was that, it has a vw part number on the left side bit of it so that confused me

number 10 has a circular centre like it clasps a bar or pipe

i will grab another picture tomorrow when back at work

Ah Ha

10 is the oil cooler clamp, the threaded holes with the screws left in gave it away.

Can I change my mind on No 7

I think its the bracket on under the lefthand side of the dash, that braces the small lower section holding your interior light switches. (its too short on one end to be the facia support that I first thought it was).

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

LOL Rich,

I thought that was a non DMC hose too, since the bend is too tight. Probably aftermarket that a previous owner fitted.

The race is on for that last bracket, but it may be a red herring as I dont recognise it either?
