Its got several cracks. Main one's just above the glove box. Smaller ones are either side near the speaker holes. The effort it took to get out, I wouldnt be suprised if the cracks happend whilst it was being put in!
Interesting note: It has a sticker on the bottom saying QAC 9-7-81.

Nice seeing the work you're doing there Scott. Flopsy is only 185 cars after yours, and her dash/centre console/binnacle is still cack nearly 5 years after I bought the car :?
You never know, you may just have inspired me to do something about it!

Quote:ahhhh! theres a crack appeared in the paint on my new dash! I removed the dash from 1274 and gave it to a professional to be repaired. For 60 quid they did an excellent job - looked fantastic. About one month later and all the cracks reappeared. I have yet to find a dash repair that has lasted more then a few months

Hi All,
Ed at Delorean one has some NEW dashboards. Just bought one for my D. Took a while to fit but looks a million dollars which is coincidentally what he charged me. Regards D

Hi Chris,
As far as I'm aware they are dash's that Ed has had done. He's very cagey about discussing them? He sells "rebuilt" deloreans for $72K. The Dash's are stock that he's got put by for the $72K cars. The one I bought is a very well made dash identical to the original. However I would say that the rubber is quite soft. Don't know if that's just because my old one was rock hard and brittle. As when I riveted the Chassis number onto the new dash it did compress quite easy at the ends of the chassis plate? Hope this helps. Regards Darren
