Project Cars @ BHCC
Honestly, I would question whether you could even get it on a ship. At best you would have to buy a trailer also and put it on that. Or container it.

It was originally listed without pictures as "coming soon" and a price of $14,750. And then we waited, and waited, and finally the pics I posted in post 232 appeared

Clearly they have been unable to get it on a lift safely and have dropped the price by $2k. The first pics (in the storage area with the graffiti) show skid marks on the concrete where it has been dragged into place. I hope they didn't damage the towing eyes Smile

They have managed to move it outside, but without skid marks, so I assume they used a forklift.

Also note the new damage to the RFF

and to think I thought #2292 was expensive when I paid $4500 in 2002...…….

that poor car in post #232 though, jeez what kind of muppet left it to get in that state? Its a scrap car in my eyes,
basically salvage what you can to restore another car, but not at that price.

I was gonna say - compared to your photos and now it looks like someone dropped the thing - the way the RFF is completely folded is shocking.

I would suggest that projects are becoming more and more common, but the prices are soaring at the same time. That car is not a $13k car - it'll need multiples of that, including a $10k frame (and then some) before it's usable, IF it's usable. Maybe $6k - but I bet they paid over that for it in the first place, so it'll not drop much unless they can't shift it.

If that car has her original numbers, the buyer will be getting the identity for $50k and in the world of 356s, it's worth it.

Madness? Agreed. But that's classic cars. A similar condition, matching numbers E-type, would do no worse.

Red Painted DeLorean, solid frame: $24,750 https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1981...c-8412.htm

Nice looking car but may be expensive at $32,500 considering there are no fuel tank components and missing coolant pipes.  https://www.beverlyhillscarclub.com/1983...c-8860.htm

The red one looks OK if you like the idea of a cheaper painted car.

The swage lines look a bit odd to me..It could have damage under the paint. However if you are looking for a cheaper car..this could be OK.

The red one started off at 32500 and it was 26k last month, so they are pricing it to move now.

The red car doesn't have a VIN plate but the holes are there for it. Why would this be removed? The dash one is there, so might not cause lots of problems importing it. Also is that a home made DMC grill?

2nd one is nice but really?? 32,500 for a non running car... too many unknowns for that money. Just my two pennies worth  Smile

It has a salvage title, so probably related to that. Also the reason for the lower price. Plus being painted.

Looks like that £12k one is being used as an art installation...
