Yes David,
i met up with Lance and Rick Haselwood and loads of the other chaps over a decade ago. They were most friendly.
We have a fair bit of BTTF content in the book, concerning the restoration of two of the film cars. The Young Ozzy man in the photo has now got himself a DeLorean…or is it Two…I loose track….( I got one of the Flux-Capacitors as well!) It only comes out on special occasions.

If it is over 2kg then don't bother with the post office, they will just hand you over to parcel farce. I can't recommend more highly using interparcel.com and picking interparcel economy which is UPS. They work to the highest whole number of kg. I've been using them for years to ship anything over 2kg all over the world and have never had any problems. Don't insure either, it's a false economy.

Hi Chris…..if you see someone wandering around after tea-time, in a dark suit carring a black case…..he's either a funeral director on a home visit…or more likely a Freemason…..Some of them like Classic Cars as well 8)

And Withers and Binny popped over last night to collect his copy of the book and sign the others. This leaves two copies unallocated. I need to keep one here, just in case Amazon, or any other distributor needs it.
We have decided to do a little raffle of all the folk who have pre-bought books (or who have definitely been prommised one for their contributions to it.) So about 60 names will be going in a hat today and two lucky folk will get their copies, posted-out today, a few weeks earlier that most. (The ship is now due in on the 11th March.)
More later when I've sorted it out.

Right then, my little draw is all done, picked by my friend Dean (who didn't win).
Congratulations to both Oliver James from Berkshire and Mike Hutchinson from West Yourkshire, who bought them at the last NEC. You should receive them in the next couple of days.
For the rest of the pre-orders buyers, it will be another 2/3 weeks. Thanks for you patience.

Chris, do you have a real shipping weight, not that you have one in your hands?
I was looking at how best to get it to me, after posting to my MIL, in case I don't want to wait until she visits, and it is a tad extortionate to post
And is it posted in that pretty box, or is there an outer box to protect the pretty inner one?

Hi Demot,
Yes I have some weights.
As it comes in its own protective box, it doesn't need much more. A layer or two of bubble wrap and then in a thin polythene shipping envelope. about 3.8 KGS.
Its size in its box is 360 x 340 x 50 MM. Add a bit for packing.
I did get some prices from the Post Office whist I was there.
There are 3 ranges of prices….2 or 3 days,…….a few days, …...and 2-3 weeks.
UK £12.98 for 2 day only. ...TNT mainland only …no crossing water…. next day only £9.00 ..but TNT they will ship up to 25 kgs for the same £9.00!!
IRL... £67.50, £44.85, £32.58
USA .£82.50, £77.93, £60.75
Ozz £104.80, £88.23, £76.85
Hope thats helpful.
(There is no allowance for packing etc.)
The main load in UK/ Europe should be here on 11th March. The USA shipment missed the Chinese new year deadline, so will be probably another 3or 4 weeks after the UK.
Hope thats of help.
