DOC-UK Xmas meet up - 20th December - all members welcome!
#16
You should pop into the Midland Railway - Butterley after you've done! I'll be on the footplate of the Steam Engine that day if anybody fancies a look. Its only down the road from Ambergate, about 3 miles or so.

Buffet should be open selling coffee/tea and things. Also a puppet show as well for those who like Red Riding Hood!

kalel Wrote:Hi all,

New to the forum. I hope you are all well.

Sorry if this sounds cheeky but I am from Sheffield and I would love to bring my 4 year old son (delorean enthusiast like his dad) to see a handful of amazing deloreans as part of his Christmas. He has been brought up with the car and has a remote control bttf car wrapped and ready.

So what I am asking is, without disturbing your dinner. Would it be possible to bring my son for a sneaky snap next to one of your fine examples.

Again appologies for the cheek but an opportunity so close to home is rare.

Hi I might be wrong, but I don't think there will be any D's in the car park, it's more of a 'get together' than a car meet.

Many thanks,
Ian

Hi All,

I'm sorry to say that I will be unable to attend on Sunday. Sad

Due to snowy roads my car slid into a kerb and severely bent the front left wheel arm, ball, and anti-roll bar.
Needless to say the car is currently undriveable, but will fortunately be ready for xmas.

Hope you have a great time, and I guess I'll see you at the next one.

sorry to hear that Matt, but the main thing is, is that you are ok - cars are easier to fix
then people after accidents - I'm still suffering from an accident in Jan 2007, and my car only had
a cracked rear bumper. Sad

Look forward to seeing you at an event in the New Year,

Merry Xmas,

Hi Paul,

yep, Avi fine, just stalled thats all.

The food was very nice and the service excellent, and at a very good price too. Great value for
money. Smile

Roads were entertaining getting through Ripley and Codnor, plus we had to go past home
and go to Riddings to pick up Kezia. Alot of people had no idea how to drive in snow and
were spinning their wheels on the hills and giving up and going back. Avi was fine tho, and
the traction control certainly did its job Smile Glad we didnt get Sorbet out of garage now!

I did enjoy the snowball fight in the carpark - I got Rich a right corker down the back of the
neck lol

Great to see everyone, and thanks for all coming along in such trying weather conditions. Hope
you all got home safe, and here's to some more meet ups in the new year Smile

of that?? )
