Greetings

Hello everyone. I've been in love with the DeLorean for 30 years now, I don't need to express why....you know why Wink

I had my first DMC experience in 2004 while during a trip to California I tracked down a DeLorean dealer and paid a visit. The owner was happy to show me around and I got to see and sit in one for the first time. It was the best part of my trip!

In 2009 my ever loving and supportive fiancee was happy for me to hire a DeLorean for our wedding day (Looking back on an old email folder, Chris Williams, you pointed me in the direction of Stuart Rees who was more local to me). That day was epic! I got to drive it for a very short trip around the block, have a spin around town as a passenger, got lots of photos and escorted DMC style to the Church... I also got married!

Eleven years later and owning one myself has always seemed like a pipe-dream, but I'm hopeful to bring enough money together within the next year to be able to purchase my own. Unfortunately I'm not mechanically minded in terms of dealing with the maintenance that would come with owning such a classic car, but obviously willing to learn.

It's good to be here and thanks for having me.

Pic here is taken on the morning of my wedding day. My hairline has also taken a significant hit in the last 11 years.

Hi Matt, well that photo's a Blast from the Past...

I remember that day very well. Do you still live near Neath?

You've made me realise how fast time goes by. Hope you're well, speak soon

Hi Stuart, I hadn't realised you were on these forums too, great to see you around.

Yes indeed 11 years has gone by quicker than I can ever image. Still happily married and now with a 5 year old, and still in Neath, living in Cimla.

This is one of my favourite pictures of the morning, it really was a wonderful day.

It'll be nice to catch up. Look me up on Facebook, there's a few Deloreans in Wales now. There's a good friend in Swansea who owns one. Certainly more around now compared to 2009 ?

Just think.....with 3 more and strapped to each wheel....imagine what the fuel economy would be like?   Big Grin

Mind you, thinking about it....perhaps road holding could be a bit tricky... Blush

Huhhh..you'll be telling next that the cars cant fly at 88MPH!

I know that most of you, with your inferior 85MPH cars couldn't possibly know anyway.......but we special "Euro-spec" owners....we know, as we climb towards 140 MPH!

Stick that in your smoke and mirrors.. Dodgy

I should clarify, we only resorted to the tumbler glass and 'faking' it, simply because the batteries had gone on the board and I didn't have a replacement. Otherwise it would of course have hovered under its own power.

Thats OK then, we don't want to upset our loyal readership..

As a great, white haired scientist once said "when this baby reaches 88 MPH you are going to see some serious s**t".
