Idle Questions
#1
Please bare with me with my shallow knowledge on the D...

I remember Nick say that removing the O2 sensor signal from the ECU will make the engine into "something" mode?

What's that mode??

Now, having the SS exhaust on the D, but without the O2 sensor plugged into the ECU, the car idles great...

But once the O2 sensor is plugged back in, the hassling in idling at a constant rpm is back...

Is there any harm in running the car without the O2 sensor plugged into the ECU?? (Dumb question i know... but just in case some people do this for some reason on the D)

Thanks!
Kind Regards,
John [DOC No. 8]

If you leave it disconnected the fuel computer will default the frequency/ bleed valve to fixed duty cycle of 50%. You can then set the fuel mixture to whatever you want.

The purpose of the o2 sensor is to keep the cars' fuel ratio at ideal for efficient catalytic converter operation. As you have dumped the cat then there is no need to add it, it may affect your fuel running though.

With it disconnected set the fuel mixture co to 2% at idle and take it from there.
