Heater Hose ID?
#1
Hello,

I dont suppose anyone knows the ID's of the hoses I have arrowed in the diagram below??

While the gearbox is out, it would definately be a good idea to change these. They are well past their best on VIN814!!

Any idea, or do I have to measure them?? Easier said than done with a car 450 miles away...!

Cheers, it was just on the offchance...

1: 8mm
9: 16mm (5/8")
11: 16mm one end, 20mm the other.

Top man, thank you! I had other answers on other forums, but no-one had mentioned that no. 11 has two different diameters. Tho Ed's site shows only a single diameter hose...

I take it no 3 is also 5/8"? From other forums I've got 5/8 or a measured 15mm...

Cheers

Yes, and I made one mistake - it's 19mm (3/4") not 20, it's just that the hose I bought last had 20mm ID

You can just use 19mm and that may well be what some suppliers now sell, but the original was a formed hose

Thanks Martin,

So, to be clear, (and in new money)

1. 8mm
3. 16mm
9. 16mm
11. 16mm going up to 19mm ??

Do you mean 19mm for the whole length?? Or are we still talking about one end being reduced to 16mm ??

Thanks a lot,

You can use a 19mm hose for the whole length but it'll be a bit squashed at the 16mm end.
