Wanted - dipstick tube
#1
Morning all,
As above really – I have noticed the upper tang has parted company from the rest of the dipstick tube (as it were), and is rusted and thin and generally looks unsuitable for welding.

Moreover, tubes from DMC are 50 Euros (for a length of tube!!). So just wondered if anyone had a used serviceable one (a bit of blasting and painting is no problem!!)

Thanks all, Rich

I have something you could use but it won't be Delorean, it'll be GTA which puts the dipstick under the ballast resistor.

Thanks Martin! I'm going to ask a colleague of mine to try brazing my old one back together. I also need to blast it to get all the rust off first, and it might not survive the grit-blast either - so if I fail at either of these stages I'll probably come knocking!

Cheers Mart,

Old one is blasted - no holes yet! (Apart from the ones at each end, of course). Fingers crossed it brazes up OK.
