First bit of VIN 10719 turns up - the gear shift knob.
#1
well, managed to received the first bit of VIN 10719 by Fed Ex today. Don't worry, not trying to save on shipping by posting the whole car! The seller sent over the original gear shift knob (it had been replaced with a stainless version). The parcel also included the original owners manual, promotional brochure, EPA certificate dealers list.

The gear shift was looking very sad indeed, with quite a few scrapes and bashes, so I decided to give it a polish on the mops I have at work. Came up really well. Seems to be made from some sort of cast resin material. The polishing removed the dents and scratches, plus made the whole thing look much better. Always thought the originals looked a bit dull and uninspiring.
