What do people think about this D in the states
#46
Just gotten off the phone talking to Jason Starkey, the guy selling the DeLorean over in IN, USA. Seems the Delorean chassis has been coated with a paint used for lining truck beds.

http://liners.rhinolinings.com/en/applications/trucks

"Rhino Linings Corporation continues to provide the highest level of corrosion, impact and abrasion resistance for your truck bed, truck grille guards, bumpers and truck rocker panels. Landscapers, farmers, hunters and YOU count on Rhino Linings® products to protect your investment."

Forms a very strong plastic coating over anything, which is tough and repels moister etc. Talking to Jason (who's the president of the IN DMC group and owner of many DeLoreans over the years) he's seen a number of Deloreans which have had this applied. Not a cheap process either. $800 USD to do the bed of a truck, so a fair deal more to do a D frame, that's for sure. Each one that he's had into his workshop coated in the stuff is in very good condition.

Maybe not the traditional grey, but sounds like a good idea for the weather over here.
