Ormskirk Motorfest 26th August 2012

Another great event again here this year, torrential rain in the morning cleared midday to reveal glorious hot sunshine and blue skies for the rest of the afternoon. 300 cars supposed to be here, but a few did'nt turn up, 7500+ spectators did though! Every car from from the Model T to the McLaren MP4 costing £200,000 was here-the DeLorean got its fair share of attention, even more so when the Stig arrived in his Stigmobile Bike/Car thing and parked next to us!
If you live in the NorthWest, its well worth going to this event, its free and you can see race cars and bikes on the road!

We were in the Lake District on Sunday with the Avantime Owners Club, had a fantastic tour round in the sunshine

Bet you did'nt see Ferrari's, Aston's, Subaru's, McLarens etc hoofing it around Ambleside though, Claire! :lol:

no we didn't, but a convoy of 13 brightly coloured Renault Avantime's cruising from Ullswater, to Ambleside
via the Kirkstone Pass, then over the Wrynose and Hardknott Passes to Eskdale, then on to the Lakeland
Motor Museum, certainly got lots of attention and "wows" from people who saw us

We often find the Avi gets as much, if not more attention then one of our DeLoreans when we take them to
