Delorean at Beaulieu Motor Museum
#1
Hello

Anybody been to Beaulieu motor museum recently? They say on their site that they've got an 82 DMC12.

Well, my father took this photo:

in 1984 (or so) he says I was two at the time...

Any ideas on the VIN/history of the car? I could e-mail them, but seeing as you're all here...

This is going purely on sketchy memory... I remember my Mum ringing up about the DeLorean, and apparently the car they used to have was sold... or the owner wanted it back or something... then they didn't have a D at all, but now I think they have a perminant car on display... or something like that... Im probably very wrong lol... but the car they have there atm is most likely not the car in that photo... Also, sorry, I dont have any VIN details on the car in the photo... just my history lesson above that is probably worth a U at GCSE level haha!
Kind Regards,

Here you go guys, took these back in 2004, however I visited Beaulieu last year the car was still there.

..and I really don't like those thick black side strips.

Click Here - follow the link, right click on the files and select Save Target As. Be warned though I'm no david bailey...

yep, thats the car - PMR875 - I remember seeing it, must have been about 5 or 6 years ago.

Hmm.........those front indicators.........very similar to ones on RHD's aren't they?

I think the stripes were sprayed on from memory.......... Sad

Good point Claire, does anyone have a cross reference for the front indicator / side light shown on that car / RHD's?

It was along time ago that I saw the car Jan, but I'm sure I remember when I looked at it thinking the DMC had been masked out with a giant Letraset or something

I'll see if I can find the pics of it, but it might have been before I bought my digital camera.

Its the kind of 'stripe' you would put on a car thats going rusty on the bottom of the doors Smile

Cant imagine why they thought it would look good slapping that on....

Maybe someone can give it a 'proper' thick side stripe.
