Central Locking not working - Please help!
#1
Help!
The central locking has stopped working Sad
I would be really grateful for any ideas or suggestions about what the fault may be.
Thanks, Carl.

I've done a bit more investigation!
If both doors are locked they can be unlocked by either door, but if the doors are unlocked they cant be locked together by either door. (hope that makes sense!)
Any ideas?
Thanks.

There are two relays in the central locking module. My initial thought would be a duff 'lock' relay, or bad connection to it.

If you open up the lock module and with the doors closed, you should be able to manually close each relay in turn, by briefly squeezing it's contacts together.

This should fire the lock and unlock sides of the solenoids in the doors which will tell you a bit more about where the fault lies...

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

If you get no joy with the lock module.
My guess would be the multi connectors in the roof . I had this problem with my car.
A previous owner had obviously had all the door cards off and the relay unit apart looking for the problem.
I put in a lockzilla and new actuators but the problem persisted.

Removing the stainless 'T' panel and the access panel is a lot easier than taking the door cards off so it's worth a try if the relay checks out. Spray the connnections with electrical contact cleaner. From the wiring diagram it is possible to identify the wire that carries the lock signal.

It's been a while since I was in there but my issue was that I could lock both doors from ether side but if I unlocked the car from a certain side the other door remained locked.

Hope this helps
