what I got up to today :-)
#1
I finally got to use my Xmas pressy from last year today, and had an experience day at Rockingham Raceway in an Audi R8 (my dream car). The V8 noise is something else, and I even overtook a Ferrari 360 as well Smile The instructor praised my driving skills in the Audi, although I wonder how much of that was because I didnt crash it! lol

TBH, the R8 is an awesome machine, no body roll, no loss of grip, huge power, fantastic noise.... OMG, I want one even more then ever now! lol

Some pics from today - some people were booked in Holden Commodore V8 Supercars, they sounded the absolute mutts nuts Smile

I'd recommend one of these experience days at a racetrack to anyone, you think you can drive, then you go out and a proper fast car, with someone who knows what they're doing telling you how to drive fast through bends and chicanes....... AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! Big Grin

Jealous! especially for having a shot of an R8!

Nice car.

DeLorean is still lower though. Proved that to a guy I pulled up next to at traffic lights in LEX back in May! Lol!!

now, if you dropped the DMC's body, onto the R8's chassis, running gear and engine........ lol

Seriously mate, if you get the chance, take an R8 out for a drive on a day like this, I've never been
in a car to match it for fantastic handling at speed, knocks socks off some of the flashy Merc's I used
to drive in my last job.

Very cool Claire. 8)
Tam want's a go in a DB9, trouble is if I get her a track day I know she won't want to give it back!

I thought when the R8 came out it was the nearest thing to a new DMC you could buy.
Saw one on the A1 the other week when I was out in the D.
No, I didn't get the chance to see him burn me off as he was getting a ticking off from the boys in blue!
