Ormskirk Motorfest 28th August 2011
#1
This was a 1st for Ormskirk, the town was actually given over to petrol heads for the day, including a mile long circuit for parade laps (at low speed, but tell that to Dave &his mate in their TVR Chimaeras!),a great day as the weather held untill late in the afternoon and loads of cars attended along with a really good turnout from the local townspeople.
Myself and John Chapelhow flew the Delorean flag and had a good time, had to laugh when we queded up on a mock 'starting grid' to be waved off by the Town Crier-I could hear him above the sound of the revving engines!
We definately should have more organised events like this, the public really enjoyed it as well as the motorcycle riders of classic machines and race cars that were there, one to attend in the future! 8)
#10556 'Ol Stainless' running surprisingly well,Audi A5 2.0T Quattro smug as usual,Wenault Slaguna stationary for the mo',the R.V.Enterprise clocking the U.K.miles up,new fleet addition-Jessica the Daewoo Matiz,silly but 55mpg....!

Looks a great day! Predictably, a bigger crowd round the D's than anything else! :-)
