Wheeler Dealers DeLorean for sale
#1
Discovery Channel show Wheeler Dealers is selling a DeLorean! Wheeler Dealers is a programme where we buy iconic classic cars, fix their faults and then sell them on.

For the new series we’re featuring a DeLorean which was bought in California and has recently been shipped into the country. It is currently going through the full Wheeler Dealers treatment. We plan to bring it to the Norfolk event on Friday 24th June. We intend to showcase the event and also sell the car whilst it is there to create a great finish to the episode. Therefore we're currently taking offers on our DeLorean.

Potential buyers should be aware that the car isn’t completely finished as it is currently being worked on, however I’ve detailed the work that will be carried out.

Year: 1982
Mileage: 23 700 miles
Transmission: Manual, 5 speed
Engine: 6 cylinder
LHD
Grey interior

Recent work carried out:
- new clutch master and slave cylinder
- new fuel system (new pump kit, new fuel filter, new fuel lines, new sender unit, new belts and hoses, new 02 sensor)
- rebuilt injection pump + rebuilt 022 fuel injectors
- new heater valve
- new radiator + hoses
- new clutch

Future work to be carried out before show:
- interior revamp: new seat covers, gear lever gator, carpets, recovered binnacle, A post trim, glove box lid, mirror adjustment switch + window motors, original jack + spare wheel and interior light assembly
- re-furbed wheels
- windscreen replaced

We’re looking to arrange viewings for next week. The car is currently in Berkshire.

Ideally we’d like the buyer to be filmed as part of the TV show.

We are looking for offers around £19 995. For further details and / or pictures of the car in the condition we bought it please contact matt@attaboytv.com or call 0207 740 3000.

We look forward to hearing from you.

Hiya,

its a shame your not doing this a couple of months later, as you could of showcased the car at the
DeLorean Owners Club's 15th Anniversary celebrations in Derbyshire in early September.

Reading through the work that Edd is doing, its certainly an impressive list - and I remember reading
on Facebook when the guys bought it, so to get it shipped over and that work carried out in such a
short time is some going.

Will the car be UK registered and MOT'd when it is offered for sale? Is Edd fitting UK spec headlights and
what arrangements is he making for rear foglamps? Will he be using an aftermarket one, or will he be
doing the popular mod to the rear light clusters to incorporate 4 brakelights and a rear foglamp?

Also, is he keeping the standard USA ride height on the front, or is he converting it to the more popular
'European' style?

Are you retaining the catalytic converter, or going for a by-pass pipe (cat not required for UK, and removing
it will give more power too).

If you have a look at our forsale page on our website, there are 3 cars on there (2 I believe are now sold),
that will give you a good indication of what LHD DeLorean's are achieving on the open market in the UK
at the moment (circa £16K) Your asking price *might* be a bit optimistic, but if the right buyer with enough
cash burning a hole in their pocket is there on the day then who knows?

Out of interest, how did Edd re-cover the binnacle? I had mine done a couple of years ago, but it split again
within 12 months Sad

Good luck with the sale, I hope the car finds a good home Smile

Yes I saw the car in person during their film shoot, as said plenty of pics on facebook. Nice enough car and well lets say there have been a few 'more' jobs added to the original list now that the team have had a chance to see 'other' D's. Once done she'll be a nice straight car and the new owner is a really nice guy.

I'm however still flabbergasted at the final sale price, each to his own ....

no way!!! mind you, I'd heard that the sale price was subject to it having
a shed load more work done in the price, be interesting to see what profit
if any Mike and Edd made out of the car.

Manxmann, you coming back over to England for our 15th Anniversary bash
in September? Be great to meet you at long last Smile

I doubt it I've already been away twice this year in the car and the costs soon add up sadly.

That said my car is currently down with Chris N having the damage inflicted during Eurofest repaired. Given the time its taken so far I might be picking her up around the meet up time.

If that's the case then I'll certainly try and pop along for the day to say hello. Interestingly I did call round during last years event only to find all you guys where 'out' Sad apart from one sad lonely car still in the car park.

ah yes, last year was a full on weekend with lots of trips out and stuff to do, sorry
you missed us.

If you want, I can PM you my phone number, and if you are heading back this way
then you can give me a ring and I'll let you know where we all are.

What was the damage you sustained at the event you went to? Nothing serious I hope?

oh no, what a thing to happen!! I've got some pics of a Dutch car
that got into a fight with a truck on a roundabout on the way to
Eurofest 2006, one front wing was totally destroyed.

Hope you get it sorted ok and you're back enjoying your De again soon.
