Brave indeed!! 5k for a gearbox and Renault switchgear  Still be a shame to see it parted out anymore, Though it would cost an awful lot to put it back together again Cry

Hi all

Its dissapointing that this is only my second post and that it relates to the sale of my D, but I favour mine over the remains of the slightly singed project car:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1981-LOREAN-BLACK ... 19c2a851cc

I'll be listing the chassis, fuel tank closing plate and trailing arms in a seperate auction tomorrow, unless someone contacts me with an offer beforehand.

Shame I'm getting rid or I'd buy the spares car and perform the manual coversion, which was one of my original goals.

I'd also located an original unused spare wheel & tyre and a brand new rear luggage rack and door seals - d'oh!

Any serious offers will be considered on the car or the chassis...

All the best!

Regards,

James

PS - There WILL be a next time!

Hi again folks!

Just thought I'd drop a link in to the chassis, closing plate and trailing arms, though I expect you're probably aware of them:

All the best!

Thanks Chris

The fire damaged car is now up to £1800! Had I not been selling I would have had it for the manual chassis, gearbox, clutch, flywheel, linkage and pedal box. Are DeLorean's like buses? Lol

I'm pleased with the way the bidding has gone on the car so far, unfortunately the chassis hasn't gone up as quickly as the car but there's plenty of time left yet.

I actually had a cash offer for everything from a club member which I now regret turning down, but have had 2 serious enquiries from Belgium, one for the car and one for the chassis.

I also had a cash offer on the chassis from a club member but it was half of what I paid for it, which I appreciate is fair as I now know what SPL Dudley would charge to take an existing chassis and make it good.

Thanks have to go to those club members who have taken the time to speak to me (you know who you are), it's at times like this that I realise just how invaluable the club is, and what a great bunch you are. It's just a darn shame that I'll have to wait until I get my next one before being properly involved. I really was looking forward to Eurofest in May! Cry
