#1
Hi all,

once again the Evesham Festival is on, in its lovely tranquil setting by the River Avon.

Date is Saturday 6th June 2009 - and camping is available as normal.

Please let me know how many wish to go, so that I can let the event orgainisers know how
many DeLorean spaces to reserve Big Grin

Spot Ben's car in the promo flyer too!!

Quote:sorry guys, unable to attend that weekend, as we have a prior family engagement -
its my mum's 60th and she's also retiring, so is quite a big thing and we want to
be there for her, especially as she is on her own.

We already knew that Claire!

Choosing Evesham over Eurotec..... Are you sure?

I loved Caley Hall in October, and if I could afford it, i'd go back in March and June......

Evesham is a lovely weekend out though, and not as costly, especially the way things are at the moment.....

I wish I could afford to mate, but I had a lovely surprise waiting for me when I came back in October - Redundancy.
After 9 years of loyal service, the company I worked for packed in the department I was working in, and that was the end of that.

I worked my notice until Christmas eve, but now i'm officially a dole bum! LOL

Actually, I had been thinking about a career change anyway, just needed that final push.

Needless to say, i'll be keeping the DeLorean, and it will still get the same love as it always has, I may even get some more time to play now! First things first though, I gotta get this new starter motor collected from Dave Howarth pending on my cheque clearing.

I then aim to change all the fluids, and get the fascias done before the spring, that way I can have a good year of shows etc without any expenditure except for the fuel (Hopefully)

Should a miracle occur, and I suddenly become employed before the end of February, I may well be at Caley hall in March!

Thanks for asking Dan all the same, don't forget the meetings at Cosford are monthly too! Smile

Sorry to hear about the redundancy Ben Sad Do you have any idea what you want to do next? Hopefully you will be working again by the time eurotec comes round. As for cosford meet up, can you belive that was April we last went there!! By the time I get my car finished it will probably be the April one again!

As for the evesham show, I will be at eurotec then

I'd like to work for the local Authorites to be honest, anything to get out of the motor trade. Theres nothing wrong with it, i'm just fed up with it in general, not to mention the shortage of jobs in the country on the whole.

The vacancies I have applied for so far range from supermarkets, to hotels, to the railway service.

I'm willing to have a go at anything, and i'm not afraid of hard work.

There is the option of starting alone, but it's the worst possible time for that......

Fingers crossed! Smile

Anyway, a long holiday is what i needed!
