Norfolk Winter Meet-Up at Caley Hall Hotel -6/7th March 2009
#1
Hi all.

By popular request we're once again doing a one-off smaller meet-up here - on Friday 6th and/or Saturday 7th March.

The basic plan is:

Arrive Friday from 12:00 onwards
Socialise, admire those "winter refurbishments" / or ask "what happened?"!
Buffet dinner
Beer / Nintendo Wii, etc.
Sleep
Saturday - Breakfast
Hang around car park kicking tyres, etc.
Buffet lunch in the bar at 1:00
Leisurely drive out / exploration (mixture of cars)
Buffet dinner
Beer / Nintendo Wii, etc.
Sleep
Sunday - Breakfast
Go home

Total cost for 5 meals and 2 nights:
Doubles/Twins: £70 per person total (including all meals!)
Singles: £85 total (including all meals!)

or

Total cost for 3 meals and 1 night starting from Saturday lunch:
Doubles/Twins: £50 per person total (including all meals!)
Singles: £60 total (including all meals!)

If you would like to extend your stay to include the Thursday and/or Sunday night as well then the extra nights would be just £20 per person per night for B&B only, plus we'll give you 50% discount off of bar food (served 12-7:30) purchased on these days and the afternoon after.

If you would like to come along for just the day on Saturday only then you're more than welcome - you'll just have to pay for lunch (£5 per person).

All welcome!

Why!!! You said you'd bring the D next time. I have to say though, the merc was pretty cool, loved the musical horn!!

Anyway, what a bargain! I'll put my name down for this and use it as my target date of having my car back on the road. Big Grin

What about the NEC stand Dan, you still doing that?

And it was a wonderful journey in the Merc, fast, comfy, reliable....... Cost about £70 in fuel for about 550 miles.
The only part i didn't like is how dirty it got on the way.....

By the way, BLM2Y flew the MOT today, but did have to do the emissions test twice, as the first was sky high.

With a MOT test booked for today, had anything gone wrong with the D on the weekend, it would have made things tricky, that's why I left it.

Perhaps you used to do the sofa adverts Arran, judging by the high quality AND quantity of the ones garnishing your 'lounge'. Big Grin

I thoroughly enjoyed the little meet at Arran's at the weekend. For those that missed, I'd recommend not missing the next one if you can make it. Junior Hawes is due around late March so I won't be able to make the next little meet at Caley Hall although I am aiming to go to the NEC next month.

Wont be able to make this one, it falls across mine and Phill's birthdays and we've got
other plans.

Congrats on the forthcoming 'Junior Hawes' Chris, hope Rachel is well - give her our best Smile
