Track Rod Ends urgently required
#1
MOT is tomorrow morning at 11:40 and found both my Track Rod Ends split. Are they in item easily found in a motor factors or are they hard to get? They are off a Triumph Herald as far as I know. I may be able to get them off my other car but won't know until I look at it this evening

I have a spare pair of triumph ones that have allready been cut down that you can have for a tenner. They are brand new. They are trimuph herrald so you can probably get them localy though off the shelf.

ps the track rod ends may be too long for the thread in the steering arm when it comes to geometrically aligning the car. Ask me how I found out ! I cut 1cm of the end of the triumph ones to make them the same size as the original delorean ones

The spare triumph ones I have are allready cut down. I had right fun and games. The rod screwed all the way into the ball joint and it still wouldn't track so bought some DMCH ends and they were exactly the same!! Ended up having to take a couple of threads off the end of the track rod! The dmch ones are still on there so triumph ones are spare now.

My car was tracked(ish) before by having more turns of the wheel one way than the other  Make sure you have equal turns on each full lock before getting it tracked. You might need to turn the wheel a few splines if its been off before.
