WANTED - Steering Rack Mounting Brackets
#1
Well I've just come to torque up the mounting brackets on my nice refurbed steering rack, only to discover that the threads are stripped Sad

So I'm looking for replacements. The part numbers are 110089 and 110088.

I have already sent Ed an enquiry, but if they are already in the UK that would probably be preferable as time is running out for Eurotech!!!

Nope

The brackets have threaded bars formed into loops welded into them. I'd have to remake the brackets to repair them Sad

If it's of any consolation, I have just removed my rack to find that someone had stripped the threads on these brackets, they had been secured with another nut lower down the thread. Unfortunatly I was unable to get the origional nuts of, as you know they are in a recess so are very difficult to get at. I ended up having to drill throough the four nuts from below and then 'split' them to remove the nuts and a brackets  never mind the racks gone off for a recon now.

I have two sets. A bit rusty, but the threads are good. Drop me an e-mail or give me a ring.

Cheers for that Martin. I have already ordered and paid for two new ones along with new bushings from DMCH, but thanks for the offer.
