Thanks- we could give it a go. Using the Invitation system means nobody in the group gets to see a new invitee's name or number, until that person consents to join, so its up to the individual.
Anyway, enough for tonight!!
Another invitation from the Great Britsh Car Journey near Ambergate in Derbyshire:-
Hi Chis.
Its Iain Fox from Great Northern Classics. Hope you are well.
We are holding an event to show the future of Great Northern Classics and would love a Delorean on display. Could you or anyone you know support the event?
We will have complimentary refreshments and it runs 10am-2pm on Saturday 23rd September.
Kind regards,
Iain

Hi Chris - the names are similar, but isn't Great Northern Classics the new restoration venue in Derby?
I believe this is the one in the former Rolls-Royce light alloy foundry on Osmaston Rd, Derby.

Unfortunately I'm not available on that date until much later in the afternoon.

I've been round the facility before in one of its previous lives, and there's loads of usable space. I helped set up some exhibitions in there in the early 2000s and did some restoration work. I know a couple of people that have current links to it and are considering setting up units in there.
They are also being loaned Derby Corporation Tram No.1 from the National Tramway Museum at Crich as a centrepiece - as originally built, these workshops were Derby Tram sheds.

All in all I think it could be a good asset for the area.

potentially i could go, (long as this weekend goes well) I saw articles about this as they started to set up and would be an amazing facility as a hub for all classic car needs as they're describing it

I've split this thread into it's own topic since it's not the same as the Great British Car Journey
I'm planning to go to this one on the 23rd
