Sounds like this is going to be a little different, nice to see a modded DeLorean, we're pretty dull when it comes to modding d's in the uk, except when it comes to BTTF conversions.

I think you're right there James, there's some wild custom jobs in the US (remember the Vindicator owned by Curtis?)
but we're always a bit more conservative here when it comes to customising De's - with the exception of BTTF replica's
of course - but it would be nice to see something a bit different - at the end of the day Rob, its your car, your money,
you do what you want with it - well, within reason of course :wink: lol

yeah there are a few speed bumps, but not too many where i live, mostly shit roads as i'm in the countryside

well everything is fixable really. No matter how far you go, at the end of the day its fibreglass/metal/nuts and bolts and can be put back to stock.

dont worry, its all going to be reversable, its not like i'll be punching holes through the stainless........ oh, its allready be done. :lol:

I'll have a bit of fun with it, then it will be going back to stock in the future.... or the past... :lol: but it would get a full proper frame off resto.


I've been looking at wheels, the ones pictured are deep dish BBS, but looking at the pilot pics, it would be cool to get some 4 spoke up front and 5 spoke on the rear - Revolutions



Has anyone got any more photos of D's with these wheels?

I dont know if they'd fit, but Renault did some quite funky wheel designs on the
early Espace's and the likes, I'll see if I can find some pics.

Didnt some of the Capri's have those Revolution wheels? They sorta look familiar.

Have you seen this modded DeLorean? Obviously not to everyone's taste but I think it's really well done, only widened DeLorean I've seen and engine bay looks great. I think when rescuing a car that was so far gone it was about to be parted out, it's fine to take liberties that would be in bad taste with a good condition 'historic' car.

The proto style wheels are a neat idea, would like to see that. Obviously I am a fan of turbo engines, but don't comprimise the reliability too much or it will just be no fun to drive.

yeah ive seent that one, pretty cool, could do with different wheels though in my opinion



capri's had a similar 4 spoke wheel, yeah.

Revolution still make those wheels seen on the delorean, in any width, pcd, offset



slammage front needs to come down a little more, the lowest part of the car is 3.5 inch from the floor

That's the stock front body kit skirt. Looks like the whole car has the stock body kit.

yeah i noticed its got the bodykit on it, which makes it look much lower.

the headlight mounting brackets were a little rusty, well, a lot rusty, too rusty to have blasted, there would be nothing left.
so I used acid dipping instead, its pretty cheap, but takes a while if the metal is really pitted. It works fantasticly on aluminium and carbs.

anyways, here we go, some pics for ya.


my vat isnt big enough, so I'll have to turn them round while one side is completed.



use a stiff brush to help out every so often.



here you can see, one side it starting to come back to good metal.

I have been sanding and brushing the rear right quater, its coming out pretty good, it had orbital sander marks in it.

Once ive got the whole carb looking like this, i think i'll make my own wolfhead wheel for it should cost a lot less than buying one
