Help! Broken fuel hose!!!

Guinney1971 Wrote:the ones that were fitted on Flopsy were the original 'prototype' ones that you and Dave
had made in the early days of DMUK.

I've had no issues with the OEM hoses that are back on my car,

If you did change out your injector hoses, then there was no reason to. You can tell them apart by the collar next to the banjo fitting, and that the outer sheath is firmly fixed to the banjo rather than being a flimsy rubber shroud.

Andy Snell recently had a full set from me for his new car. He also fitted a set to the explodaview car. Others like Arran Jamieson have been running them for several years now too.

I'll have to find the picture of the hose that went - I seem to recall it was spraying fuel
out of the crimped bit.

Maybe I just had a 'Friday afternoon hose'.

found them - looks like the fitting itself failed - this was in June 2006, so the hoses had been
on the car for about 3yrs at this point.

That's unacceptable - I'll take this up with A1. Can you send it to me?

Sorry for being pedantic - I thought you meant one with the rubber hose.

I bought a whole host of spare fuel cables when I had troubles a couple of years back, both updated OEM from Ed and Stainless from JohnH.

If you can confirm the part numbers I'll take a look.

Actually, I have Rich's replacement hose here, which he has sent me Paypal for. The prob is it didn't come with his address and I can't get hold of him.... Rich - can you (or someone who knows) drop me your address please?

The hose in question is the low pressure one that attatches to the base of the frequency valve. Originally part of the frequency valve itself and unavailable seperately, unless you make your own.

Freq valve pn is 102395 although the funny thing is that the photo on Houston's website shows it without the hose. It -is- just an injector with no nozzle.
