Finally got round to getting a balancing done on all four corners of LEX. Recommended by Martin, although already thought about prior to recommendation by myself anyway.
The garage said that all four corners were WAAY out, by as much as 25g in some cases, and the guy was surprised I hadn't had my teeth shaken out of my head with that deviation!
Took her for a spin along the M6, just one junction and back, and omg. Night and Day. No speed wobble at 63mph now, and feels "safer" on the motorway now. Very pleased.
But, another weird one now.
Around the 78mph mark, I get a vibration through the steering wheel, a left and right vibration, shudder almost, which comes in three's, followed by a smoothness, and then another set of three again, followed by a smooth patch etc etc. Weird. Anyone else ever had this?
With trying to type sound effect impersonations, it's like...
bbrrrrrr, bbrrrrrr, bbrrrrrrr.......... bbrrrrrrr, bbrrrrrrr, bbrrrrrrrrr........... etc etc
It's also had an effect on the noise from my worn bearing on the near side rear too. Doesn't sound as pronounced as before. Still there, just doesn't sound as bad. East Kirkby travelling will be the real proof in the pudding I think though.
