A previous owner of our car dismantled the door switches to stop the lights staying on when it was displayed with the doors open - pulling the fuse would have been easier surely...

Spent a bit of time this morning trying to put them all back together, but I don't see how the loose right angled sections locate onto the body of the switch?

These switches don't look original (I'll stand corrected) but basically from the pictures you've attached, they don't look too wrong. The two ends of the circuit want to touch when the plunger is fully out and open contact when pushed fully in.

Each side of the switch should be connected with a spade crimp on to the connectors shown on your pictures.
You can get them at Halfords for not a lot of money. The red thingy looks like a brake calliper plug….to increase the length slightly…..a small piece go plastic/ rubber tube looks better.
The switches themselves are fine - it's more a question of how the silver right angled connector is fitted to contact the stationary part of the switch? Is it fitted with the screw through the centre of it, and tightened against the square nut to pull it into contact? Otherwise I don't see how it fits. Delorean EU lists these as genuine replacements, so I presume these are the orignals.
The order is

1. Screw through switch
2. Then through panel
3. Then through connector
4. Then star washer
5. Then square nut

Hope that makes sense
Perfect Rich, many thanks
