Ok I seem to be having a warm start issue.

From cold the car starts first time. If I start the car after its been of for like 10mins it starts fine too. Leave it about 30mins to 2 hours though and it just cranks without actually catching.

I find myself having to swap the plus over on the CPR and the Cold Start to get it to catch, then shutting the engine off, swapping the plugs back and then she starts fine.

I'm guessing this could be to do with the accumulator

true?

If so does anyone have one here in the UK or do I need to order from DMCH?
Finally, how difficult is this part to replace?

Cheers all

Fuel pressure test will confirm if it is or isn't.

When you put the ignition key to position 2 it should run the fuel pump relay for 2 to 3 seconds to prime the fuel system.

Look at the fuel pump relay connector and bridge the connections to run the fuel pump continuously before starting the engine:

If the engine starts first time then chances are it is the accumulator/ fuelling issue but I would check fuel pressures first.

This is assuming that the engine is set up ok and not over rich etc.
You could try starting the engine with your foot 1/4 way down to see if this helps.

hi

a bit tricky to replace.

SAFELY support the car, slide under from the back, you will see a little sort of cubby hole.

accumulator is in that.

a bit difficult to replace, under all the fittings and you will get petrol on you.
depressurize system first.

the existing fuel lines outer sheath may fall to bits and may need changing.

if in doubt about any book in to have it done. its definately not one for the nervous diy-er
