Restored from backup.

I would personally wire it using diodes and solder/crimps, although the write up may have been updated since my latest backup.

I wired mine using this:

Are you sure these weren't the 3 phase 415v type?

old thread, but never mind -

I'm going to use the lambda light for a fog tell tale. Does the light have to say 'fog' on it or have the rear fog symbol on it? or does it just have to light up when the fog light switch is depressed?

You will be ok with that light coming on when the switch is depressed ... thats all the MOT standard says .

thx

- Dan6457 - 08 Apr 2008

Yep mines like that too, its just spliced in so the lambda light is still connected to the counter but also comes on with the fog lamp.

- NickT - 09 Apr 2008

The wiring should really have a diode to prevent the voltage from the lamp back feeding into the fuel computer (, unless of course the computer is not used anymore and has been disconnected)

presumably that's only if i retain the lambda light facility and only splice in the fog switch, rather than disconnecting the lamp from the counter and connect it up to the fog switch.

Thats right.
