Well i got my new stainless steal exhaust put on today, wanna thank chris parnham for recomending stainless steal exhausts in nottinham, It took 5 weeks to be made but it it was worth the wait, i picked it up yesterday and had it fitted at holbeach tyres in my town they did an excellant job fitting it, here are some pic`s

Dare I ask how much there charging for them now if you dont mind me asking?

which system did you go for? mild, medium or ear splitting? :wink:

I have the same system (but much louder 8) ).... And I am planning to wrap my manifolds with thermal insulation (to keep the engine bay cooler) but it means I have to take them off the car again Shock

A tip for you tracey, check if the wires near the alternator and the starter motor is touching/ or very close to the new manifold. If so, reposition them or wrap them with thermal insulation tapes.
thanks for the tip yes they are a tad closer and the exhaust does get a lot hotter than the old one, :wink:

Do you feel it has made much of a difference to the performance?

There seems to be a general consenus that the PRV's 'log' type exhaust manifold is a major restriction and that gains of up to 30bhp can be found simply by changing the manifold for one with equal length runners like your new one.

To be honest, you won't notice much of a difference on normal driving conditions.

The real difference between the stock and this is at the peak of the rev range.... Mostly... it's for the sound, stainless steel construction and looks.

P.S. however, this exhaust seems to have cured my D's stalling problem.... :?
well im stuck with a mild steel system due to the kit on mine, but when money allows im going to get chris at pj grady to make a duplicate of what i have, TT
yes the performance does seem a lot better, has a bit more go in him too :wink:
