This is not DeLorean specific - but besides wanting (or already owning) a DeLorean, what other cars are on your list of cars you'd love to own?

Here's mine for starters:

1) Dodge Charger (440)
2) Mustang Fastback
3) Pontiac GTO
4) Lotus Esprit (as per old Bond film)

I'm pretty close to getting #1.
#2 and #3 don't come up for sale very often - and #4 is a lot of work! The original Bond lotus was up for auction a while back - but I missed it - it ended up selling for £25k.

Interested to hear about your wish lists!

Darren
Lancia delta Intergale

With Paul on the Lancia Delta.

Id like :-
Lancia Delta

Darren, Which James Bond Esprit are you talking about mate ? The White S1 or one of the two Turbos ?

Dan
The white S1.
I don't want to use it as a submarine per se - but I do like the car (although the S1's are no doubt full of early build issues and showing their age). I still like it though.

We were going to get one as a company car - but it would have been a gratuitous waste of money!

Darren
Oooh, almost forgot.

I'd also like a mint Rover Vitesse SD1 Twin Plenum Big Grin
1955 or 1957 Chevvy Bel Air 2dr - always been dream car (the '56 is ok, but the '55's and '57's are much more aesthetically pleasing  )

Late 20's/Early 30's Bentley 4.5 Litre

Late 40's/Early 50's Riley RM 1.5 (cos my dad had one Smile )

Vauxhall Senator 3.0CD 24v - one of the last 1994 cars that were specced up to the eyeballs Big Grin

John Cleland BTCC Cavalier GSi (1990-95) - best Touring Car driver ever in the best Vauxhall Touring Car ever 8)

The S1 was the best handling Esprit untill the last S4's came out. Chapman made sure the the S1 was the best it could be when it launched. Some are showing there age now but not to hard to strip and rebuild.

As for it being a gratuitous waste of money, poppycock Big Grin. You would love it Big Grin

Dan
Lotus Exige S after filming one with Stu a few weeks back, awesome car!
1969 Chevrolet Camaro SS (or a Yenko S/C depending on the size of the Lottery win).

Plus a Noble M15 for the track 8)
I already own 3 cars that I have always wanted, but there is still 2 more I want to add before I get to old and fat to drive them.

I own already....

The Delorean
1979 MG Midget
1979 Porsche 911 Targa

I still want to get...

Westfield kit car
1980's Lotus Espirit (Maybe a Turbo one but not really fussed)
I always knew i liked you Alistair Big Grin

The 911 Targa is a great looking car. As I get older Ive started to like older Porsche's more and more.

If your getting an old S3 Esprit, my advice would be go for the Later HC Ones.

And which Westfield mate ? The Lotus 7 type or one of there track cars ?

Dan
my Delorean is 00944.

I wouldn't mind getting my hands on 943 or 945 Smile

they're out there. Smile

I have had the porker for about a year now, paid £6000 for it off a family friend. Its great craic and always wants to go faster. I was never a fan but recent years and the love of anything late 70's got me hooked.

If I had to choose a westfield right now I would say the SE Aerosport, I have always wanted to do a bit of racing and its road/race set-up would suit, I might have a look around at the NEC this year as there is always a Kit Car stand.

I have only bought the MG in the last 3 months for the total lack of summer we are getting Sad Ah the joys of owning a rag top.....
Ferrari Dino 246GTS
