Hi all, anyone have any good or bad experiences of using car covers? I see Ed does a DMC Branded one..
When i first bought my car all those years ago, I was in need of having a car cover for spells where the car would sit outside, either in Edinburgh, or Rugby.

It's an outdoor car cover with a felt lining on the inside (Good for avoiding scratches to the metal as you pull the cover on and off).

The cover did a great job, all be it when it rains, although it's breathable, its almost impossible to stop condensation build up on the car under the cover.

I tended to take the cover off again and let the car dry out before putting the cover back on it again after days worth of rain.

I bought it from these guys in 2009. https://www.specialisedcovers.com/storms...or-cover-1

I spent £200 on mine at the time.

I don't tend to use it much these days, although I was literally thinking about it last week, considering putting it over the car whilst it's sat in the garage over winter to keep all the dust and grot off it.
On a related subject......I once drove half way up the country with a DeLorean on a flatbed trailer.....with  car cover on. When I got home I noticed that the stainless has be 'polished' up to a bright finish in several places!  Angry....never again

This. I'm convinced car covers do more damage than they prevent. I've stopped using mine.
I used to use one, the stainless looked crap after taking it off the car after the winter.
When I had to leave my car outside I got one of these https://www.classicadditions.com/en-GB/d...077-169897 it's pretty good, very soft, the only issue is you need to wash it on the car and fabsil it to keep it waterproof due to being made out of a stretchy cloth material.
Just make sure you wash the car before using it, otherwise you'll find it adds zillions of fine scratches over time
