On my list of DeLoreans on Display I have several associated with the former “Cars of the Stars” and I am trying to resolve which are which, and possibly what happened to them

The first was this car reported to be at the Keswick Cumbria location. It’s a BTTF car, reportedly by Andy Hobbs (?)

There was also a second car, a BTTF3 replica, pictured at Cumbria in 2010

It was reported that the museum closed and the collection (or part of it) moved to the Dezer Collection in Miami FL (See this wiki entry : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cars_of_th ... tor_Museum) . This is the car they have now (on sale for about $90k) – vin 06342.

Similar, but not exactly like the first Cumbria car, but they could have had it re-done. Note that a very similar black clapperboard prop that was on the ground in the BTTF3 car picture above is now on the door of the Dezer car

At some point a second, or satellite, museum was opened in Alexandria in Scotland (2009-2010). The picture of the car that was there, looks a lot like the BTTF3 car from Cumbria, so I would assume that it is the same one )?) Anyone know what happened to it, or which one it was?

Both museums seem closed in 2011 and gone, and if the cars didn’t go to FL, what happened to them?

Does anyone have any old photos of either COTS cars or know any of the history of the cars or museums(s).
The BTTF3 car was the first car they had, I think, and you're right it's the same one in both your posts. That's the one without an engine and is the sister car of Chris William's I think (I'm sure he will explain at some point). I was talking to the guy about doing work on it 5-6 years ago and he mentioned he was thinking of buying the first car in your first post.
From the reserch I did, Matt is indeed correct, but in that the very first BTTF car pictured by Dermot(BTTF 1or2) was the first car that the Keswick museum had, indeed created for the Daily Mirror promotion that gave away the (non BTTF) car I now have. This was as Dermot correctly wrote done/created by Andy Hobbs for CIC video. This was eventually sold to Keith McCraken over in Ireland.
As I understand it the BTTF3 one is the one thats minus (or was) it's engine, that ended up if my memory is correct in the Explodaview car :? confused you soon will be!

I'm glad I asked........

So neither COTS car went to Dezer?

Where is the BTTF3 car now?

Not the first but I dont know what happend to the BTTF 3, I have a feeling Dave Howarth told me something about it but for the life of me cant remember exactly what was said. I have a feeling it was parted out for the panels, but dont quote me on that I would need to check with Dave about it.

I'll just put this right here...

Thats a nice top she's very nearly wearing  I think there may have been some cars there as well.
Chris
The BTTF3 Mock up definitely went to the Dezer Museum in Miami

There's a pic on facebook somewhere of it on a transporter heading down a Florida freeway!

But it's the saddest 'DeLorean' I have ever seen...
Thanks
The spanish BTTF car is worse, but jesus.
At one point, the bttf3 car from one or all of the above shots (I'm confused if it's all the same car or not) was at cars of the stars in Edinburgh, just a few years ago or so. I've got a picture of it...somewhere. I'll try and dig it out. That should give us a date too. If I find it.

And damn! Chris W ain't kidding about that video. My word! Eek.
